I really don't think that you are going to find anyone for that rate... Newborn care is usually much more expensive than for an older child. I have my son in home daycare 5 days per week and I pay $100/week which is dirt cheap...
I am trying to go back to work soon and want to find someone to watch my daughter Kylee a couple days a week when I find a job. She is only a little over two months old and I am a new mom. I am looking for something along the lines of 2-3 days a week at $30 - $45 a week.

I agree with the other 2 moms, unfortunately finding good care isn't cheap. I needed part-time care for my daughter when she was 9 months old for 3 months. The daycares charged full-time because she was under one and the babysitters nowadays charge $10/hr for part-time! I ended up paying the $10/hr. I really hope you can find someone for the rate you are looking for; I was in your situation and totally feel for you! I found my sitter on Craig's list and she was great! Good luck!
Dear Tanya,
I have a 17 year old daughter that could work for you, but not for the rate you mentioned. I beleive she would be willing to work for $8.00 and hour.
She is experienced from helping with her little sister.

I went back to work when my son was 3 months old and I had a VERY hard time finding people to watch my newborn. Prices were at least $175/wk or as high as $210/wk and the wait lists were ridiculous. I finally found a woman over Craigslist and she charged $100/wk. That is as CHEAP as you will find! That daycare sitter ended up moving and we just recently had to hunt for another provider. I had prices as low as $85/wk to as high as $175/wk. Let me tell you....you get what you pay for!! The houses I went to for $85 and $95 per week were disgusting. Too many kids and it just wasn't what I would want my baby to be involved in. Check out www.pclb.org. Click on the right hand side "Inspection Reports on Daycares" or something along those lines. You can search by county and it'll list all the daycare providers, ALL LICENSED, and you can check to see through that site if they're up to date on everything. You still need to check up on those that you're interested in on your own...the website is just a search engine.
I wish you lots of luck! Finding childcare for a baby is a full time job!! Good luck!
