So What Happened?

Thank you all for your help, but we had to realize that it is almost impossible for us to plan this party in just two weeks. I really appreciate all of your responses and will keep them in mind for next year. For now we decided to take our daughters to pirate dinner adv (just the family) and Disney.

In Pasadena area: Kidspace Children's Museum, Jumpin'Jammin'(gymnastics), Kid's Klub Pasadena. All should have websites where you can see what they have to offer. My kids have been to both Kidspace and Jumpin'Jammin'; a friend recommended Kid's Klub.

Build-A-Bear Workshop does a fantastic job. No minimum fee, they take charge, and you can limit the price range of the stuffed animal. No need for party favors. I did it for $10 per child - and cupcakes after.

Pump-it-up is good if you have a large group, its a flat fee, kids love all the bouncers and slides.

Build-a-bear is fun and easy

Color-me-mine is where we had my daughter's 6th, it was great, but only if your child is the crafty type.

We have been to party's at bowling ally's, ice and roller skating rinks and swimming pools.

Also, had my daughter's last b-day at an Edward's cinema, High School Musical 3 had just come out, they have a party room and put her name on the marquee, they roped off an area in the theatre for the party guests and gave the kids a tour of the projection rooms, then served them their popcorn and drinks in their seats. It was pretty good, and cheaper than chuck e cheese. The only trick is there has to be an appropriate kids movie out that your child wants to see.

We struggle with this every year, but always come up with something.

How about Sherman Oaks Castle Park? They have pizza, games and miniature golf. Or try Kid's Castle in Burbank.

My friend had a really fun party for her son at this great park in culver city by the veterns center.and it was a blast! the playground is fun and right next to picnic tables that had a roof(ahh shade). we just put themed table clothes and ballons on the tables and let them play and eat and do few activities like a scavenger hunt. before we knew it it was 2 hours later! happy birthday!
