I am looking for a part-time summer camp for my 6 and 4-year old in the Johns Creek area. I just want them to have something fun to do a few mornings a week.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
the ocee arts center has many different, affordable choices for day camps during the summer. they could do multi-media one week and clay camp another week.

My child goes to a wonderful daycare/afterschool program called Great Beginnings of Sugar Hill. Sugar Hill is only about 15 minutes from John's Creek! They have a great summer camp program that my daughter LOVES!! They have a huge gym on site and participate in lots of fun field trips! I really think your kids will love it. I am a camp counselor at City Park. They offer weekly camps. 4/5 year olds, 6/7 year olds, 8/9 year olds and 10/11 year olds. They have to be that age on the day camp starts. Your 4 year old would attend a different week than your 6 year old. We do crafts, swim and play outdoors. They would go from 9-1 for a week. We haven't set the dates definitely yet, but are looking at the 4/5 camp in June (9-13) and July (7-11). the 6/7 year olds June (16-20) and (July 21-25). Try Camp All American at Perimeter Church on Old Alabama and 141.
I also recommend camp all american at perimeter church. it is located on Old Alabama and 141. we live in Cumming and travel there all the time - my oldest is in the school, we attend church there, and my husband is on staff. It wouldn't be far depending on where in John's Creek you are located.
I worked in the pre-camp for five years and all three of my sons have attended. The program is six weeks long and you can choose m/w or t/th. times are 9 - 1 and include pool time. the church is building a new pool facility with a zero depth splash area specially designed for the pre-campers. during the day the campers take part in sports activities, crafts, Bible lessons, and such. on Wednesday or thursday lunch is provided - pizza. so you only have to pack lunch once! pre-camp is for 4-6 year olds, but the 6 year old cannot have completed first grade. cost $294 for six week session.
junior camp is for 4-6 year olds also, but is a one week at a time session from 9-4 and $199 per week during full week sessions and $185 for holiday weeks. i could go on and on, but the web site is www.perimeter.org/camp it's a truly fantastic program!!
