Hi,
has anyone found a Columbus area pediatrician that will separate the MMR shots? Thanks.

What can I do next?

Try Associated Pediatrics ###-###-####). I have been going there for 7 years and they were really considerate of my concerns. I see Dr. Derrick McClellan.

My pediatrician (Dr. Irene Koesters at Olentangy Pediatrics) is ok with doing sep shots if i get them myself from the health department...which i still havent' done (my daughter being 2.5) with slower than normal speech development I am not particularly hurrying with MMR)...Also, you might consider the fact that while mumps and measles are relatively serious illnesses, rubella is very mild,it's only harmful to an unborn fetus and the primary reason for vaccination is to eradicate the disease...I think that the solution here is to make sure YOU get rubella vaccination if you are planning on another pregnancy and haven't been vaccinated. With my daughter I am planning to vaccinate her against rubella closer to puberty.
So that's my two cents worth.

I just made an appointment with Dr. Ali Carine at Pediatric Cetner @ Big Run. She is listed on Dr. Sear's website as "Vaccine Friendly".

I'm late responding, but you might try calling CHOICE to see whom they would recommend. Many of the folks there are proactive when it comes to vaccines, so they may have info for you.

BTW, CHOICE is the Center for Humane Options in Childbirth Education--i.e. the center for home-births.

Also you might try AP Village group. It's an online attachment parenting board, and they probably have many moms who do selective/no/alternatively-scheduled vaccines.

Good luck.
