I have a Brother Sewing machine that needs its spool pin replaced. We cannot get the platic case off to get to the guts. We have taken out all screws, accessories box, and cover around light bulb. How do we get into the inside now? Any help appreciated. No one sells a repair manual!
Check online to see if they have a manual for your machine on line. We had same problem with our 3 year old Singer machine. We took it into a shop for a free estimate and the man said it would cost more to repair than to buy a new machine.
Does it just screw into the top of the machine? Several of my machines do. You might not need to take the case apart.

I once had a sewing machine I bought from the home shopping channel that had a built in plastic case with storage. Take it into a repair shop. There are so many things that can get screwed up on a sewing machine that fixing it yourself is not a good idea. Look in the yellow pages and find repair shops in your area and call them. Ask them how long it will take them to repair it. I had an old Singer machine and found out that the repair time can vary from a couple of days to 2 weeks.
