Does anyone have a kiddo that overpronates? it's time to get my daughter new shoes and she overpronates pretty badly.
She needs running shoes. If you have a child the overpronates have you looked for shoes for pronators ? what kind did you end up getting?
it's an inward ankle roll associated with flat feet.

When I was a child, many, many years ago the podiatrist had my parents put me in shoes with a high top that laced around my ankle. When I was older I did exercises to strengthen muscles and now, as an adult, I don't overpronate.

If you haven't had her feet looked at by a podiatrist, I recommend that you do so. There may be ways to correct this.

Take her to a running store and have them fit her for running shoes.

If she's old enough for adult size shoes, the Asics Gel Evolution series is excellent for overpronation. I got a pair of the 6 series two years ago for about $120. You can probably find them for less than that now. If you have a running store near you, have her go in for a consultation. They'll evaluate her gait for free and will recommend the best shoes for her feet as well as make sure she has the correct size. Running shoes should usually be one half size bigger than regular shoes, which is something I wish I knew years ago. Anyway...the right running shoes are like having new feet! I highly recommend Asics for overpronation but New Balance is supposed to be great for super support as well.

I'm not sure how old your daughter is but since you say looking for running shoes, I'm assuming she is not a toddler. I actually have flat feet and was recently looking for new shoes because my feet killed me when went to Zumba. Did some research on best shoes for flat feet and ended up getting Asics Gel shoes. They have worked great! They have lots of shoes that offer support for overpronatots. Check out the asics website. They have a guide to help you choose best fit. They have kids shoes too. Good luck! I know how painful flat feet are!

I have flat feet. I have had dr made orthodics that I wear in my shoes since I was a child. I can do more with them in because my legs and feet do not hurt. Now I have lift also, because my one leg is 1 cm shorter than the other and it causes back problems.

My mom took me to the dr because after 10 mins of walking I would complain. I love my orthodics and they go in most tie shoes.

you can look for shoes that have arches in them, but you have to make sure the arch is in the right spot for her foot.

I would consider going to the poditrist and see what they suggest.

Good luck

They are more expensive but "toe shoes" by Vibram are really great. It takes maybe a week to get used to them, but after that they are really fantastic for your feet. My husband was in a rock climbing accident several years ago. He broke his back as well as the heal, ankle and 3 toes on the same leg. He swears by these shoes! He has a couple pair now. REI has great sales on them and their clearance price can be really good.

OK I am missing on my terms here does she roll in or out?

When my kiddo was a toddler I was told to work on Stride Right shoes. She has an inner roll and they hooked us up with sturdy shoes with high arch support. We still make sure her every day sneaks are good fit real solid support shoes. There are more options now.

My mom took me in for orthotics as a kid and I wore them in my track shoes. She noticed (when I was about 10) that I was wearing out the soles of my shoes funny.

They had some that were specifically for athletics.

You need to get her some shoes with good arch support.
If you can't find any, then get inserts.

my older son has fairly severely pronated feet. when he was a little fella we took him to chanticleer. but for running a person with pronation needs professional fitting. he's grown now, but still rolls in. he spends a lot of time running and at the gym, so for his birthday last year we took him to a runner shop and got him professionally fitted running shoes. the brand was brooks.
