Brother who is part of my friends and family Verizon plan wants to break off and do his own subscription. Do any of you know of a good deal for unlimited talk text and data? Also would I face penalties if he drops off?

What can I do next?

Call verizon about the charge if someone drops a line.

I'm cancelling my ATT when the contact is up in July and moving to straight talk. My son uses it and his service is just as good as mine plus replacement phones seem to be less expensive.

Call Verizon. They are the only ones that could answer all your questions.

You would have to ask Verizon if you would incur any penalties.

We've had ATT for years. We have unlimited everything plus international. I pay about $225 a month for 3 iPhones on 1 account.

I'm not sure what the cost of 1 line alone would be since we've always been grouped together. Our set up is for our business.

Verizon will tell you what your contract looks like. He might want to consider a pay as you go plan. My SIL's family uses them, and they work fine for what they need. Unlimited data...not so sure about, though. He should really take a look at what he uses and needs.

Metro PCS seems to be a popular choice. We had a nephew who also left our Verizon plan and the only affordable choice he found was Metro PCS. I don't think it's completely unlimited; only the first gb of data is at a 4 gb LTE strength. After that it slows down. But there's no annual contract.

If your brother has been on your Verizon plan for a long time, and his phone is paid off, and his contract has ended, you won't face a penalty. We have several lines on our plan, and some are still within their 2 year period and others have ended the 2 year period, and kept the same phone, so to end their line would not result in any penalties.

However, if your signed up for a 2 year contract and those 2 years are not up yet, yes, you will pay a pretty steep early-end penalty. Also, if he purchased a phone on the Easy Edge payment plan and it's not paid off yet, you would have to complete paying for it. You can call 611 and speak to a representative and ask what the penalties would be (if any) for dropping one line. When you call 611, choose "4" for "other options" and then wait for the choice to be connected to a representative.

I have and love Cricket. Its not expensive & unlimited everything. I have had no bad issues at all. My step-adaughter who lives with us has Verizon and I see no difference between the two. Idk about the rest of your questions. Good luck!

We've used Virgin Mobile since 2006. It's cheap and has great unlimited data plans.

You need to call Verizon re penalties because we have no idea what your contract looks like.
As far as other plans, I have AT&T, unlimited talk/text, "almost" unlimited data (I use my iphone internet a lot and have never run over) and it costs me $110 per month, two year contract.

I have a friend who has Tmobile - he says it's half the price of ATT and Verizon, and they have limits on data and Tmobile is unlimited everything. (I have to say I have not looked myself, this is just what he told me about 2 weeks ago).

I don't know the answer to your second question.

there are all sorts of different contracts out there. there's really no way for anyone to say what your penalties would be, as we have no way of knowing what you signed up for.
as for 'good deals', i'd love to find one i thought was really good. we had verizon, and switched because their customer service was so godsawful appalling. but AT&Ts is no better. we've tried sprint and t-mobile, and both of them have crappy coverage for folks like us. we're not even really in the sticks, but far enough out that only the biggies work for us semi-regularly.
sorry not to be of more help.
