Mamas I need some help here. My daughter is 7months old and is not really wanting her bottle at times when I am at work. When I am home she nurses just fine. I am wanting to start her on a sippy cup but what is a good kind to start introducing to her?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I went and bought I think it was NUK brand and she seems to figure it out then doesn't want it. We try every day I figure she will get it sooner or later. I also think this not wanting bottle thing is her top two teeth could be trying to come in. The gums today were pretty darn red! And my daughter chews on her pacifiers. She started that at about 4.5 months when she started teething really bad. She now freaks when we put the pacifier in her mouth she just wants it handed to her!
But thank you mamas for all the help!

We loved Playtax. They have the kind with two handles (one on each side), which my son quickly took to.

I am with Sam. Playtex has the BEST sippy cups and the ones with the two handles are perfect for small hands. My son always did well with those.

PLAYTEX! Only ones I have found that don't leak even after you wash them. PLUS, I LOVE this, if you lose any of the parts you can order them online for $1-$2 which is good because sippy costs add up. I used the ones Meaghan and Sam are talking about, then when she was older I used the ones with the spill proof clear valve. I've tried others, but always stick with Playtex.

My grandson would not take a bottle or sippy cup, just waited for Mom.
Tried all sippy cups. Finally got the breastflow bottle which he loved. He
really could not go without drinking once it got warm. Now he loves his
milk and water from his bottle.

I bought this one for my bottle weening daughter. We've tried a lot of other types but i've liked this one the most. I like the soft spout. And she took right too it. Its by bebek.

well,,,, I am glad I am not the only one.. My son was 6-7 months old and did not like the bottle. I thought it was weird however, he broke himself off the bottle. I bought the cheap o sippy cups from Walmart and he did fine... I just gave that to him. When he wanted a bottle/sippy cup I just sat with him or put him in his bouncy seat with it and he did just great! He is now almost 6. I am so glad I did not have to break him from the bottle.. Oh and if you use a binki.. when it is time to get rid of that, an old omish lady told me to cut the tip of the binki off and then the balloon affect is gone and they do not like it. It works!
