W.,

I agree with everyone else. It is perfectly normal, but PLEASE DO NOT USE VASELINE. There is only a few occations where ANYONE should ever use vaseline. All vaseline does is sit on the skin, clogging pore's and does not allow your skin to breath and release toxins in our body and can eventualy make you sick. Same thing with Baby Oil. I am an Arbonne Consultant. If you send my your information. I would be happy to send you a couple of samples of our Arbonne Baby Care for you to try on her. I would suggest to use our wash, oil and the lotion. It's FREE and will not hurt to try it. Our products are PURE, SAFE AND BENEFICIAL.

Thanks for letting me share. Let me know if you would like the samples.

Hi W.,

My son's skin did that as well for about the first month. I used Arbonne's ABC Baby Wash and Lotion, then later switched to Aquaphor Wash and Cetaphil Lotion. I also like Aveeno Baby products. I was told the peeling skin is fairly common with newborns.

I don't know why but I think most babies have the same proplem, I know my daughter did for like the first three months. My grandmother told me to use one of the old remedies and it sure did work. Olive oil is what I used.

my little one did that too. we had good luck with aveno baby lotion. not at sticky as vaseline. i was told it was because they just left a bag of water and came into the dry air.

good luck

It's totally normal--she's been living underwater for months and her skin is adjusting to life on the outside. :) Aquaphor is a good one. It should stop after another week or so. It is not painful for her, by the way, so don't worry about that.
