I love the recipes from the cookbook "Make It Fast, Cook It Slow" you can buy it at Amazon for $13. Here's the link for it http://www.cookingbasics.tonoftips.net/promote/makeitfast
I'm in search of a really good cook book for a slow cooker. I have Fix it and Forget it and am not very impressed with many of the recipes. If anyone has any suggestions please pass them along.
Thanks!

Taste of Home has a slow cooker magazine/cookbook (there are hundreds of recipes, but it looks like their magazine) that is excellent! The recipes are from other women and have been tested thoroughly by their staff. Everything we have tried is SO good and really really simple. (A lot of it I look at and think "now why didn't I think of that"?)
Check out www.keytothekitchen.com. It has some great recipes! You can search by slow cooker to find just the right thing!

Tastefully Simple offers a small cookbook for slow cookers and there are several recipes ____@____.com.
I have made 2 of them in the past week and got rave reviews from my kids! (You can substitute some of the TS items for ones you can buy at the store).
Just go to Halfpricee Bookstore. They always have Crockpot cook books for cheap!
I have that book too, and I agree not very good.
I usually find my recipes on line, allrecipes.com.
Good luck finding what you need. I love my crockpot!
Hi R.!
My husband is a slow-cooker nut, so we're always on the lookout for great cookbooks for him.
I would like to recommend you check those offered by Gooseberry Patch, the great gift and cookbook company out of Ohio. Our whole family loves their recipes.
I think their website is simply www.gooseberrypatch.com
Love to know if you find any great ones!

While I love to make things up myself I also like Cooks.com - it's a great site - and so is cambells website for recipes - but when you are at the grocery store those little books at the check out etc they usually have one for crockpots - try it - also just google crock pot recipes!!
I found a good slow cooker magazine. I can't find it right now after hubby cleaned the house, but when I do, I will share the name and some great recipes from there.
The families fav was cheese burger soup. I wouldn't try it, but they loved it! precooked crumbled hamburger, chicken broth, cheddar cheese, about 1/2 cup milk, browned chopped onion, and cubed potato. Even my 26 year old health conscious daughter liked it.
I'm on a mission to find it for you.
So here is the magazine, Cuisine at Home Slow Cooker Menus, published in August.
Cheeseburger in Paradise:
4 tbsp butter
1 lb ground beef sirloin
1 c diced onion
1 c diced celery
1/2 c diced carrot
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp dried basil
1/4 c all purpose flour
11/2 c milk
3 c low sodium chicken broth
2 c peeled and diced russet potatoes
2 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Kosher salt & blk pepper to taste
Ketchup
Mustard
Chopped dill pickles
saute meat in butter, stir in onion, garlic, celery, carrots and basil, cook 5 min.
add flour and stir to coat meat for 1 min. add milk until smooth. bring to a boil and cook 2 min. transfer to crock pot. stir in potatoes and cook til potatoes are tender on low 3 - 4 hours. Add cheese just before serving, season with salt & pepper and garnish with condiments individually.
Like I said, I wouldn't eat it, but they have asked me to make it again.
Try allrecipes.com - they have tons great stuff!!
