Small Party Ideas for Kindergarten Class

My daughter's teacher keeps a large glass bowl in the classroom that she fills with large beads when the kids behave well as a class. The bowl is almost full and I need to help her come up with an idea for a class party (I'm the room mom). There are 12 students, one teacher, and one aide.

It can take place during lunch (like a pizza party -- already done this year) or during their afternoon snack time (like an ice cream sundae party -- also already done). Any ideas?? It doesn't have to involve food.

Thank you!

When I worked in first grade we did this often :-)
The favorite by far was the "bonus recess" party. The kids really liked having the entire playground to themselves, and we usually brought out some extra balls, hoops, ropes, etc. and played group games. If the weather was bad we did an indoor recess party with music and bingo/board games in the classroom.

My kid's K teacher did this, and let the kids vote on the type of party they wanted. Their choices were usually: Dance Party (teacher played music for 20 min at the end of the day and let them dance and be silly), Lunch Bunch (they could bring their lunch to the classroom and eat in groups in the room instead of in the cafeteria), Wear your PJs to school day, or Extra recess (weather dependent).

My kid's class voted for the dance party every single time.

I love the extra recess party idea! my kids have never had this - what a wonderful idea!!!

My youngest sometimes gets an extra gym class for some reason, and she loves that - so I can see why that would be popular.

PJ parties are big here. They usually watch a movie.

Costume parties were quite popular in kindergarten.

I say let the kids vote on the type of party. They might want another pizza or ice cream party. I do like that idea of a dance party. And just a time to have fun.

my sons second grade teacher has a sticker party at the end of every month. they have gobs of junk food, watch a movie and just hang out.
the kindergarten class has had pizza, popcorn, and ice cream parties. they get free play choice time for every 100 boxtops they bring in as a class.. and the kids love choosing what they get to do ( play outside, in any of the 'centers' like pretend play in the kitchen center, the art center, playdough, computers, its the childs choice and they get to pick then play for an extra 30 minutes.)
for their valentines party my sons class made slime. it was the hit of the party. i was the mom in charge of the slime station, we used a simple recipe, the kids mixed it with their hands, we made a big mess. allowed them to add glitter, paint to make colors.. my kindergartner was jealous! me ant the room mom in charge of the party cleaned up the mess after it was over. kids loved it
i like having the kids vote! that was a great suggestion. put 3 party ideas on a ballet and let them decide!

Parties I remember my kids doing over the years:

100 day party (held on the 100th day of school)
Mardi Gras party
First day of Spring party/Equinox party
Parties to celebrate certain author birthdays (like Dr. Seuss)
"Summer" party (everyone wears shorts and sunglasses)
"PJ" party (everyone wears pjs and brings a lovey)

These are just the few I could think of off the top of my head. I think my kids had about a billion parties over their many school years x 6 kids!
