I hate it when businesses purposely misspell names, like "Kidz Kollej" for a day care center, or similar silly names. Makes me think that a 5 year old came up with the name.

So I'd avoid names that have Kone or Konez or Sno in them.

How about The Cone Zone?

My husband has been in advertising for many years. He would tell you that businese fail when they spend too much time on a cute name and not enough time/money on a business plan. People don't buy snow cones because the name is cute. They buy them at an event like this because it's hot and the snow cone sounds refreshing. I think you should spend time researching the cost of supplies, gas, equipment, figuring out pricing, learning about permits required, studying Board of Health regulations, getting a solid event calendar, and calculating wages (including withholding and insurance) for assistants (because you're going to need extra hands and a chance to go to the bathroom).

I agree with the responses below about making sure you have a solid plan and recipe. I know it's a snow cone and how many recipes can there be, but seriously, we have THE BEST snow cones I've ever had near us and I don't even like snow cones. It's generally something I would take the kids to and not buy one for myself but with this lady I make the kids go there after games sometimes!

And also I agree with Elena on misspelled words! ;)

I agree - I've never made a purchase based on the name of the place (assuming that place isn't named Hitler's Kitten Torture Factory). I'd focus on getting whatever name you choose out there, permits, etc. Your business is more of an impulse purchase anyways (unlike a daycare or car dealership) - focus on what your stand will look like and how it will draw customers, which is much more important than the name on the front.
