Mammas & Pappas-

Can you recommend a bowl or plate that actually sticks to the highchair? All the products I see reviewed have middling results at best. Is crazy glue an option? (just kidding of course).

Thank you for your help.

Don't believe the hype about that stuff. I had a variety of brands and they all stink. Sometimes lightly dampening the bottom of the suction cup before slamming it real hard on the table would help a bit. But for the most part, they all eventually would release and the dish would run away with the spoon. :P

When my kids were still using a high chair I didn't use bowls/plates or utensils at all. I had a plate full of food and just put small amounts directly on the tray. If they ate it I offered more.

I think I'm in the minority here, but my kids grew tired of being spoon fed and by 10 months were insisting on feeding themselves. I had to be creative, but they did enjoy meal time!

I have a bowl that has a suction ring around the base that I bought when my son was a baby...16 years ago. My 8 year old daughter still eats her Cheerios out of it most days and it still stays stuck to the counter. It's one of the best purchases I've ever made. I believe I got it at Wal-Mart, possibly K-Mart. The bottom of the bowl says Playskool Baby, Inc. Northvale, NJ Made in Mexico. I don't know if they're still made, but I have loved this one I have.
Good Luck.

I have been wondering about the same thing. One idea I've yet to try is getting a non-baby-feeding product that will be useful some other way in the future, such as double-sided suction cups or something similar.

One product that I've been eye-ing: Schildkraut Shower Suction Holders. They come in a set of 3, in different sizes, and look like I could stick them between the bottoms of my cheapo Ikea china and the tray of my less-cheapo Fisher Price highchair. When my kid has a better handle on self-feeding, my dastardly plan is to use these suction holders in the bathroom or kitchen as soap holders or maybe ... sandwiched between the lid of my laptop and the keyboard so it stays shut and reduces any temptation to go online shopping for babygear gimmicks as I am wont to do in the wee hours of the night. (J/K I'm too addicted to the internet to go that far.)

If there's anyone on here who's tried this product already, please report your results before I order on Amazon! Thanks!
