Soap for Back Breakouts

I use Dove sensitive skin soap for my body... Lately I've been having some breakouts on my back/shoulders. Can anyone recommend a gentle soap that would be good to use for irritated skin?
I work out, so I initially sweat. (Not a new thing, I've always worked out).. Then after my shower, my skin can be more dry naturally.

What can I do next?

My dermatologist recommended Cetaphil Antibacterial Bar soap this year for me and I'm very pleased with it. I work out a lot and was experiencing rashes/break outs.

Try some plain white Ivory. It's not fancy but it does not cause me to break out. Have you changed shampoo or conditioner lately?? I had to buy something different lately that caused my back to break out.....so maybe its that and not your soap.
Good luck :)

I'd recommend all-natural soaps, Kiss My Face brand has good ones, also Dr. Bronners and Dr. Woods brands have good natural soaps - I would get something gentle like aloe vera, lavender, or shea soaps. Personal care products sold by big corporations usually have unhealthy chemicals in them that we would be wise to avoid.

I have used the Neutrogena body wash for acne and it worked well. I also just use my Clean and Clear face soap on my chest, shoulders and back when I am in the shower since these areas are prone to breakouts occassionally.

Oily with breakouts?

Or dry with breakouts?

Blackheads or whiteheads?

I ask these questions because each one would have a different result with different treatments.

I used to get boil-like whiteheads on an overly oily back... No soap alone would cut it... I had to go tanning once a week to dry it out. Tanning once a week was far cheaper than paying a dermatologist.

I love, love, love Dr. Bronner's Peppermint soap. You can find it many places, such as Target, Trader Joe's, drugstore.com

Super gentle. I also use a body puff scrubber on my back and chest.

I recently bought myself some Neutrogena body wash specifically for acne on the body. I still use my regular Bath & Body Works all over with a pouf, but then before I rinse I use the Neutrogena on just my upper back, arms & chest, which has little sand-feeling scrubbies in it, just with my hands. Over the past 2 weeks or so I've absolutely seen an improvement.

Buy Dove liquid soap and add Betadine to it about half and half. Use it every day like a soap.
