G.S.
I have several sports bra from several different "Sports" store and I hate them all. I have found that the best sports bras are at Target, they are by
Champion and they are like $16.00.
Could anyone recommend a good sports bra? I am a 36 D (which I have had a hard time finding) nursing mom and I recently got the urge to workout again but I am in pain afterwards because I am just not getting the support I need from my bra. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks

I am a 34 H and I found a great sportsbra, shock absorber that I can run in, it's great, thay carry them at Victoria's secret, but not my size, so I got mine online at figleaves.com
I couldn't find a good one so I went to 24 hr fitness and bought a workout top with a bra inside. I am the same size as you.

Hi A.-
I totally understand where you are coming from. I too have recently started working out again. Lane Bryant carries your size, and their bras are fantastic. Victorias Secrets makes Lane Bryants bras, they are just a different name. I am using the balconette style. Its still a bra, but it holds like a sports bra. Its really nice and everything stays put. Right now is the time to buy too. They are having their semi annual bra sale, buy two get two. I know I sound like I work for them, but I dont. Im just a firm believer in Lane Bryants bras. They are the best. Good luck.
The biggest size I've seen at Wal-Mart is a 44 but not sure what cup size. Maybe call around to Target and K-mart and see if they have any sizes that will fit u.
I found (and love) a sportsbra made by Nike at Dicks Sporting Goods at West County Mall. It really holds you in without too much pressure and enables you to dance, run, etc without ANY discomfort. I highly recommend it. I can't remember the exact name of it, but, the tag will indicate that is has super support! Good luck!
I also have the same size and found great bras at Sports Authority and Kohls. The have an underwire so they are very supportive. Kohls seems to have a bigger selection.

I am huge and the only places that I have found that carry my sizes are Lane Bryant which has wonderful bras, a little expensive but the bigger you are the more expensive the bras are or if you can find a hanes store they have really awesome bras too, and this month they have buy one Champion jogbra get one 50% off. You could also go to www.onehanesplace.com. Good luck
hi there... I have a few by Fruit of the Loom that have thin shoulder straps. The back is straight and does not cross! I am the same size and I like these. I've had a few that cross in the back and they hurt my neck. After my work out, I'd feel this pulling sort of pain on my neck. I realized it was my bra and bad support. I'm not sure how well these would work for a rigourous work out but I can wear them all day long with no problems.
I am the same bra size and I found some good sports bras at Kohls. I find the tank styles give a little more support, they have a inner support them as well.
Intimate Designs in Independence is the best place to look for any kind of bras. They have a very large selection and will measure and custom fit if necessary. They are also very nice.
Hey A.-
I really like the bra Champion makes with individual cups. It doesn't have underwire or anything but molded individual cups for each breast. It is very comfortable, supportive and flattering. I hate mono-boob :) I got one at Kohls I believe and I have seen them at Dick's sporting goods for $38 or so. It has been worth the investment for me.
I also like to wear a fitted workout tank with a shelf bra in it over my sports bra for added support. Good luck!!
Try www.title9sports.com. They have a wide selection of sports bras, including nursing bras. I am on the bigger size also, and also very narrow shouldered. I found one from them that has adjustable straps, hook and eye closure, and I didn't move at all when working out.
'Dicks' is a great place to shop. I am also a 36 D and they had several options. They don't look cute like the smaller breasted girls but believe me I am not taking my shirt off.
Hey A.!
Victoria's Sectret has a good line, however most of their stores don't carry our sizes in stock. I suggest ordering oline. However, I do want to let you kno that while I was nursing my son, I started working out, and had some problems. I consulted with my OB and a lactation consultant, and was advised that more than a light workout would dry up my milk supply. I continues on what I thought was a light workout, and did see my milk reduce SIGNIFICANTLY. I had to stop working out because my son's nutrition and health were more important to me. So be careful. Good Luck Hon.
The best workout bra I have found for larger busted women is at Victoria's Secret. They have an entire active wear line. The sports bras are sold in different levels of support. I go between a 34 DD and36 D to DD, and I am comfortable every time I run, do Tae Bo or any other vigorous activity. Good Luck!
hey girl, i'm a 34 G while nursing and before was a 34 D with plenty of saggage so i know the need for a good sports bra. champion makes a good one that has hook and loop closures in the back and adjustable straps. i believe it's called high impact, zero movement bra, something like that. i've also been told by friends that the enell sports bra is excellent. i don't own one, but haven't been doing high enough impact activities to really need one. now neither of these are nursing bras, so you'd have to just wear them while you're working out, hopefully in between feedings. but i got my champion at academy sports, but the enell i think you have to order online! hope that helps!
Champion Sportshape Sports Bra. They run around $25 but I got a brand new one on ebay for $10. I am a 34D and I love this bra!
You may want to try Lane Bryant. They have nursing bras you have to order out of a book. The ladies at Zona Rosa will work with you. Also I found some at Wal-mart but you really have to look they like to hide the nursing stuff.
I am the same size you are and I love to wear the hanes sports bras. I got them at walmart. They are the tagless ones. They give me great support and they come in all different colors.
