Try BacOut. Works on pee and stains in general, also backs out the bacteria. You can get it at the Green Living Store in Lakewood and Bree's Baby in Richardson. It really is amazing and "green".
Good luck!
I have these very ugly spots on my couch...from my son falling asleep and peeing. I don't know how to get rid of them. The couch is not the best quality but I need to make it last as long as possible. I would appreciate any suggestions. I had to add that these are not new, they are about 3 years old.

I use a spot remover called Solumel. I have used it on pet stains in my carpet and on furniture. It does a great job not only getting the stain out but also the smell! :)
Hello, Well, first your son shouldn't sleep on the couch. Before he gets on the couch, he should use the bathroom. If he falls to sleep on the couch, you should remove him to his bed. Also, you may want to put a protective cover(Walmart) on his mattress and a couch cover on the couch. Or, don't let him sit on the couch if he might fall to sleep. Send him to the restroom more often. Hopes this help.
we bought our couch at Rooms to Go and they gave us a dry cleaning fluid called Force Field that I use on our couch (microsuade)..but I have found it works on all kinds of things..you can buy it there in the store just ask a salesperson.
I usally blot on a mixture of baking soda and warm water to remove stains from my couch, carpet, pretty much any fabric surface and it usually works very well. I'd say maybe a tablespoon of baking soda to 1 to 2 cups or so of warm water. Mix well. Take a clean cloth and dip it into the liquid and blot, blot, blot. Repeat as often as necessary to get out the stain. I've gotten ink, blood, blueberries and other stains out of all kinds of fabrics using this method. I don't think this would help if you have a "smell" issue, but as far as getting out the actual stain goes, this may be a method you could at least try.
One other tip, we always use Kirkland's (Costco brand) baby wipes for diaper changes, but recently found that they work great on fabric stains. Some poop got on the carpet during a diaper change and I grabbed the closest thing, which was a wipe and it worked beautifully. I used it on bed sheets with the same result. We went to six flags 2 weeks ago and my mom sat in something brown which got on her light tan shorts so I used one of her handi wipes and the stuff came off completely. I was shocked. So you might try using some baby wipes. I've not used them on my couch so I don't know if the ingredients in a wipe would stain as well, but you might try on just a little part of the stain to see if you see any improvement once it dries. I'm just amazed at what I can get clean with those baby wipes. My son wrote all over his legs with a black marker two days ago and I grabbed the wipes and got every mark off of him. It was great!
Good luck!
I have some Solumel as well and works good but you have to order it - I have tried the Bissell Oxy Pro for pets and it works AWESOME!!! I just bought it at Wal Mart. It has even taken a ravioli stain out of my carpet - and we are talking Chef Boyardee greasy stuff...
Petsmart has this spot stuff that works miracles on my light carpet with our dog.But depends on the fabric. Hobby Lobby has videos on crocheting and knitting. It is a lot of fun. I did it a lot when my children were small. G. W
