J.W.
I couldn't tell you my ages at the time but that has happened from time to time, nothing big and it was never pregnancy.
I have a question I probably know the answer but I figured I would ask.
Last night when we got home I had a brown discharge... Kind of like the color of watered down pop with a little more red in it. Anyways I know I should be getting close to my period and we have been taking a lot of precautions. Condoms, pulling out, sex only once in a great while and NOT OVER MY OVULATION. This baffles me though because it has stopped. Could I just be getting started without, well starting? Has anyone else had this? Or could this be that we are pregnant? I plan on taking a test probably in the middle of next week since that is about when my period should be mid flow.
I am just curios as to your opinions, I will take a test, and if negative I should be starting soon. Just opinions ladies.
ETA- I track my cycle and have been a consistant 26 days since January. Not that long but its been that way my whole life. I have tracked it since I first had it. I have calenders from when I was 14 and it has never changed... even though I have had 2 kids. I have a strong feeling its just a period waiting to come but this has not happened before. usually its spot... then the red mississippi river. anyways just looking for opinions.
nevermind!!!! i started

Um, this happens to me every month:) Wait it out a few days. Or if you recently had "vigorous" sex, that can also cause spotting like you described.
That happened to me when I was pregnant this time around. I thought I was starting my period but turned out to be implantation bleeding. I'm 19 1/2 weeks now.
Although, judging by how careful you've been, I doubt you're pregnant.
How certain of you of your ovulation timing? Do you chart your cycles? How regular are your cycles?
In the past few months my cycles have gone from 28 days, since I was 12 years old, to more like 26-30 days. When they start late, I tend to have a few days of spotting first.
I know that this doesn't answer your question for now, but if you aren't pregnant, perhaps you should track your cycles more closely. A very easy way to do this is to use the My Fertility Friend website or smartphone app.
