Any fun projects planned? Please share some of your ideas!

I found on Pinterest a treat for the kids which I'd like to share. In a ziploc (or baggie), place gold candy coins (I had to use gold-wrapped Kisses...bummer) in the base of the bag. Create a Twizzlers "rainbow" above the gold. Absolutely too cute! Can't wait to catch our leprechaun during naptime tomorrow!

St Pat's has been the perfect time to teach 1-3 using the shamrock & the Holy Trinity. I'm also drawing attention to the heart-shape with the shamrock leaves. For the color green, we've separated all of our crayons & markers. We also did a collage with cutouts from our local grocery store ad...by finding all green food items. This then led to expanding the kids vocabulary, & we've tried some new foods (brocolli, asparagus, etc). We've touched on rainbows, all Irish lore, & I've even played Irish music. It seems as if the possibilities have been endless. Can't wait to start Easter activities!

Please share!

What can I do next?

How cute.
When I helped as an aid in Kindergarten, the teacher cut out green "footsteps" from construction paper to put on the wall like leperchaun foot prints.

A large rainbow cut out poster which led to a black witches kettle (pot) of gold covered choc coins (can find these in candy aisle of groc store or at party store).

I decorate with those green cardboard clover cut outs.

I have a few mini green mugs.

Four leaf clover lights.

The kids like it.

My son's K class is going to try to catch a leprechaun, so we've been working on making a trap. It's a cardboard box with two holes cut in the long sides and one in each short side. Inside is a net on a string that's placed under a small cup of chocolate gold coins. We're decorating it with glittered leaves, rainbows, and easter grass (on the floor of the trap)

I bought Lucky Charms..something I never buy...to use the marshmallows for some counting and graphing. I printed a page I found on Pinterest.

I also used some for a marshmallow treat I sent home with them (like Krispie bars). Trying to S. them up! LOL

We worked on ROY G BIV (rainbow...red, orange, yellow, green, blue , indigo, blue). Hes been our Buddy all week that Roy G Biv! LOL, so alot of rainbow work.

We listen to Irish Jigs often...great great active music for my 4 and under crew...so of course alot more this week!

We are doing Farm the next 2 weeks, tehn Easter tehn they want to do Dinosaurs. I let them guide me alot!

I use alot of 123 learn curriculum stuff for my base of table activities and individual time things. I use alot of laminating sheets!! (just got an order of 200 in the mail actually!)

TGIF (almost!)

small squares of contruction paper in and kids glue on in the shape of a rainbow.

make shamrocks by dipping their finger in a tiny amount of green paint and pressing 4 times and then draw on a little stem.

I love different shade of green tissue paper cut in little squares and sandwiched between wax paper or contact paper to make suncatchers.

have fun
