I need some food suggestions! We are having a food day at work for St. Patrick's day. About 25 of us. What would you like to eat? Last time I brought crock meatballs (cook 'em slow and low in bbq sauce and jelly - yum!) What else sounds good?

for St Patty's day?
corned beef!! if you take the slow cooker to work - it should be AWESOME!!!
My dads half Irish, & Chicago Catholic.
So we're rabid traditionalists.
Which means Beer & Whiskey.
Also boiled supper.
Although... You just have me an idea for an experiment: Corned beef meatballs (I could stick 'em with egg & bread, I'll bet),Grilled with red potatoes (as my gran puts it "We get nervous if there aren't potatoes involved somewhere), the crockpotted with cabbage & baby carrots & a nice red beer, or coke, & pickling spice... Of course. Hmmm. Needs some more thought. But its an idea worth exploring.
Cabbage rolls?
Stuffed potatoes?
Huh.
Thinking cap time.
Bad news for waistlines when that happens!
We make deviled eggs and die the yolk part green. Everyone always likes them.
I did a quick search on Pinterest and found this dip:

But that's only if you want food specific to St. Paddy's Day. Otherwise, bring the meatballs again! If it's not broke, don't fix it! :)
Shepherd's pie (sub grd beef for lamb if you want to).
If you just want something green, bring an appetizer like spinach/artichoke dip, jalapeno dip over cream cheese brick served w/
crackers, four leaf clover sugar cookie you make & frost yourself.
Corned beef brisket, served with rolls (our grocery sells the corned beef really cheap around St. Patty's day and all you have to do is put it in a crock pot. You could probably get the brisket and a bag of rolls for about $10.)
Have you ever tried colcannon? Bon appetit's recipe is the one I use, it is fabulous. Basically mashed potatoes with cabbage mixed in and a ton of butter.
Or, make a loaf of soda bread with a crock of butter.
It may not be strictly Irish but we like making Ruben sandwiches for St Patrick's.
Corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut (rinse it and squeeze it dry if you don't like it too sour), and Thousand Island dressing on rye or rye/pumpernickel swirl bread is something we look forward to every year.
With a nice crisp dill pickle spear on the side!
My husband is from Ireland. Corned beef is an American thing. Bangers and mash or shepherds pie made with lamb.
