My children have put their stickers on our black refrigerator, and I cannot get them off. I have managed to get the stickers off, but it left the glue residue and I cannot get that off. It is driving me crazy. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

Hi C.,
Spray a little WD 40 on the glue spots. Or there's also a product called Goo Gone that works great.
Good luck.

I can't believe only one person suggested peanut butter. Oil works also but the thickness of the PB allows it to stay stuck and 'soak' on the stickiness. It works for anything sticky; labels etc. If it doesn't get it off right away just let it sit overnite and the label will rub off.

Best of luck

Use a blow dryer to heat the glue and clean it off with a paste made with baking soda and vinegar. It's great.

Goo Gone works wonders!! We had a glue board down in my son's room under his bed. We were trying to figure out what was biting him in the night. Well, he got his favorite blanket in the glue and I thought it was ruined. GooGone got it all off and you can't even tell! We use it a lot at the Preschool I teach at. That stuff will take anything off!!

I once witnessed a woman use cooking spray "PAM" to get a price sticker off of a glass bowl or something. It looked so effortless and it was even the sticky that was still left after the sticker was gone. You might try that. Just spray it on, work it into it a little bit and then she used her fingernail and a dish cloth.
good luck.

Try Glue B Gone. Home Depot, Lowe's and probably Wal-Mart all have it. It usually only takes a little bit. Until you can get to the store, try vinegar, nail polish remover or cleanser.

Good luck!

There is a wonderful, natural spray called De-Solv-It. It gets off all of that nasty, sticky stuff and is even safe for skin. I used it a few weeks ago to get pine sap off of my kids' arms & legs after they had been climbing trees. It also got the sticky residue from a price tag off of some mirrors I recently bought.

It is made of citrus oils so it smells nice, too! I got it at the grocery store, but you can also find it online http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=de+solv+it&...

Good luck!

If you need the GooGone or WD-40 to stay on the sticky spot for a little to soak in, try putting them onto a bit of paper towel & "sticking" that on the spot. After a few minutes, the sticky should wipe off with a clean paper towel. If not, just repeat the process.

The glue residue from stickers will come off relatively easily with cooking oil. Just put some oil on a paper towel, hold the oil-soaked paper towel on the sticker residue for a minute or two and allow the oil to dampen the residue, and then you should be able to rub off the gunk pretty easily. Repeat as necessary. (This also works on sticky Band-Aid residue. I think baby oil works, too.)

Good luck.
