Hey Mamas,
Sorry to send out a repeat, but I noticed there are a few more members now from last week and I wanted to see if there are any nannies or stay at home moms who would be interested in caring for my 4 1/2 month old son. I am losing my current nanny and need HELP FAST! I need someone F/T 4 days a week who is very flexible with hours and weekends (every other saturday). I live on the Northwest side. Thanks!

When did you need someone to start? I am a stay at home mom, for now, and I could help you out til you found someone permanent. I've been helping out my friend for the last few months with her 2 boys but I think tomorrow is the last day she will need me. I will ask her when she gets home today. Let me know if you would like some assistance.

Hi! I was wondering if you were willing to drop off your little one off or is it strictly in your home? I am not exactly sure where you live, but I am in Mount Prospect. I am a stay at home mother of a 20 month old and wouldn't mind making some extra money. Let me know if you would consider dropping him off at my home.

D., Forgive me if I've already responded but we have a GREAT nanny who is looking for a new job (b/c our twins are starting full time preschool and we can't afford a nanny anymore). Here's a blurb I wrote up:

The time has come for our twins to start preschool, so we are looking for a family with a full-time position for our FABULOUS NANNY. Aida has it all - warmth, dependability, sound judgment, energy, initiative, tons of experience (including all ages, kids with special needs, and seniors), formal training in early childhood development, excellent English and driving, Spanish, a barber's license (really!), a Certified Nursing Assistant certificate, CPR, non-smoking, and more. She lives in Chicago and is accustomed to commuting to the suburbs via her own car. Flexible start date, ideally early-to-mid April.

For more information, please call C. at ###-###-#### or Aida directly at ###-###-####.

P.S. D., did you also post on Craigslist? I've been in touch w/a mom looking for a nanny through there too.

Call Arden Domestics - Bert Brusso - he's run a placement agency for 47 years...best part, the Nanny pays the fee, not the family!

Be specific, tell him what you're looking for, your phone will start to ring immediately.

D.,
I have a nanny three days a week who I've used since my daughter was 4 weeks old. (And my friends used her for three years before they had to move). She also works on Thursdays for another family, but I think she wouldn't mind working four days for you in addition to the other family.

I may be switching work schedules and decide to let her go because I won't be able to pay her for all her time. I would feel better about it, however, if I could try to find her another job. This is all tentative, but if you are still looking, she charges $100 a day. She lives in Skokie and would probably travel a short distance to work.

Feel free to ignore this if it's not what you are looking for.

Yes, my name is E. and I live in the Rogers Park Area and have been babysitting for 4 1/2 years now. I currently have a 1 year old little girl that I care for in my home who is dropped off 2 days a week. And I would gladly give you her parents number so you can speak to them if interested. Hopefully we aren't too far form one another. My home number is ###-###-#### located one block south of Howard Ave.

I would suggest you check the northsideparents.org website. You have to be a member to join ($40) but they have a very extensive list of nannies available on their discussion board and they are most often listed there by other families that want to find a job for a nanny they can no longer use. You can also post a request there. Good luck!
