So I've been pregnant before and now have a 14 month old, but i didnt know I was pregnant with her until I was about 9 weeks therefore not recognizing the symptoms. Anyways, we had unprotected sex about 8 days ago, and about 4 days ago I started having minor stomach aches and a little bit crampy. Along with that came slight nausea. I was on the depo shot for 6 months and it wore off in early-mid February. Maybe about 2 weeks after that i had slight bleeding for a couple days which i dont know if it was a period or just my body reacting to no longer being on the B.C. Now my question is, does this seem like maybe a period coming on or could this be VERY early signs of pregnancy? I know its rare to feel it this early, but i know its not impossible. (And clearly too early for a pregnancy test). Oh and I have never had nausea as a sign of a coming period! Thanks for your opinions!

What can I do next?

when was your last period?

most people wouldn't show signs of pregnancy after 1 week, and if the ONLY time you have had unprotected sex recently was 8 days ago, then I would guess it is unlikely you would have pregnancy "symptoms" this early.

I have never been on the depo shot, but any type of hormone- birth control will change how your body naturally "acts" during periods, and these changes are most noticeable when you first go on it, or first come off of it. when I was on "the pill" I always had super light periods and almost no cramping, but without birth control my periods are heavier, longer, and I get more cramps. Also, my "natural periods" are more sporadic; rather than being always exactly 28 days apart (start to start), they can be a lot closer together or further apart and sometimes I have had "mini" periods in between.

If it has been more than four weeks since your last period... go ahead and buy a pregnancy test. Otherwise, wait until you have a missed period since chances are a test too early wont detect the pregnancy anyways. In the meantime, do yourself a favor and don't do anything stupid, like get really drunk... just in case.

Good Luck!

I honestly think 8 days after possible conception would be WAY to early to detect anything. I would think it's more likely your body regulating back to a cycle. But that doesn't mean you aren't pregnant...just that you probably won't know for awhile. good luck though!!!

Could be. I got really early signs too and knew pretty much right after conception. I had cramps and bad gas pains and I was pregnant. You have another week or so to go before you can test so try not to worry.
