Stroller Clips

Does anyone have any experience with the clips that clip two strollers together? I'd like to know how they work. I have 2 year old twins. I have a stroller where one sits in front & the other in back, and I have a jogging stroller where they sit side by side. At their age, they do better side by side. My jogging stroller has a stationary front wheel that doesn't turn, making it very difficult to manage & use on a day to day basis. I considered buying a lightweight umbrella/twin stroller but hate to spend the money and wondered if anyone has used the clips.

What can I do next?

The clips are a pain in the butt. They make the stroller(s) too wide to go through a standard doorway. So you have to keep unclipping them to go through doorways one stroller at a time, which totally defeats the purpose. Maclaren makes a really sturdy, lightweight umbrella stroller for twins that is awesome. It is so worth the money, especially considering how much longer twins end up using a stroller. Each seat will accomodate up to 55 pounds! My 7 year old still rides in it when one of the twins wants to get out and walk. The best part is that it fits through any standard doorway.

I used to use the stroller clips. It was okay, I much preferred using a side by side stroller instead. W/ the clip, the wheels had a tendency to not be in sync which made it hard to push, sometimes one stroller would be ahead of the other, it felt wobbly. For maximum benefit, the two strollers should be the same model.

Good luck.

My friend used the clips. She did not like them. It is really difficult to push because there are two handles, two sets of wheels, and they don't fit on the sidewalk, or aisles at the store, or through doorways. They also do not coordinate the wheels, so one turns and the other goes straight. Sometimes the cheap way is really not worth it.
