Well, I am SO thankful to have finally gotten pregnant successfully! If you've read my earlier posts, it was quite the heartbreaking struggle to get to where I'm at now.. I'll be 8 weeks along in 2 days, and I've gotten SLAMMED with the nausea, cravings, sore as heck boobs, super dizzyness, super smell capabilities, and permanant crankiness for the past 2 weeks.... ANY suggestions at all that could possibly help alleviate any of these symptoms?! Side note, ginger never once helped during my first pregnancy, and it hasn't seemed to help at all this one either. Peppermint SOMETIMES helps with the nausea.... mostly chewing gum has been the biggest relief- but when I'm at work, gum chewing isn't allowed. :( Help!? ((P.S. My hubby got me the SeaBand for Easter, lol, but unfortunately they just cut off the circulation in my wrists and make me feel even more nauseated :/ )) But this Zofran... that's worth looking into. Thanks!!

What can I do next?

Congrats! I'm six weeks along, and thank goodness not having many symptoms.

Nausea wreaked havoc on my life for my first two pregnancies. My saving grace was dry cheerios before getting out of bed in the morning. I found that the nausea was caused by mucous dripping down the back of my throat- and the cheerios would help soak up whatever was in my tummy in the morning. It worked absolute wonders. Just one handful before getting out of bed. Eat it, let it sit for a minute, then go about your day.

Hope that works!

Get the Sea Bands for motion sickness, works great for pregnancy nausea as well. You can get them at CVS, Walgreens...

Get a prescription for Zofran.

Ginger, peppermint or those 'preggie pops' never worked for me either. Here are a few things you can eat and do that will help as well:

Hmm. Peppermint always made it worse for me, and those preggy pops were just nasty.

Sour candy is what helped me with nausea - I would actually go straight to the candy store in the mall on my lunch break from work, and buy those sour straws. Or plain carbonated water. Also, try seabands (they are in the motion sickness aisle in the drug store). It's just a wristband with a little knob in the right place for supressing nausea. I've used it for motion sickness AND "morning" sickness (what idiot thought of THAT name?).

Congratulations!

I was horribly sick the entire nine months. My doc put me on a zofran pump and it helped beautifully! Also try licking on a fresh cut lemon and sipping coka cola helped. Good luck and congratulations!

Something that works for one may not work for you. Each of my pregnancies were different as to what I could eat or craved, etc. Find something that helps but you'll need to experiment with what tastes good to you. One of our daughters had terrible vomiting and nausea and had to take Zofran which did finally help some. She is a natural foods type person but had to give in and take that medication.
Sickness will end soon hopefully.
