I have a 7 yr old that stays home with my 13 and 15 yr old son and daughter while I'm at work. Does anyone know of any activities, bible camps, that are not costly that my son can attend, or even my oldest also. I know that while they are responsible all they do is watch TV, play on the computer and or Wii. But my 7 yr old gets bored since they wont play with him. I know we have a long summer ahead of us so I would like for him to do things so that his summer wont be so boring and when I come home he doesnt tell me like 1000 times how bored he is since I have to come home to prepare dinner for a family of 8. Please anyone I woul;d really appreciate your suggestions.

Have you tried ASI gymnastics? Or Adventure Kids summer camps?
Try your local YMCA. They have financial aid programs ifyou need to apply. Also, check your closest recreation center. The one near us has very affordable summer camps going on.
If you go to KCBI.org and scroll down to the banner for Community Events (close to bottom of the page), you can find listings for VBS and other activities all around the metroplex. Also, libraries will usually have free movies or game days once a week during the summer, so you might check that out.
There are a TON of free/cheap things for kids to do, but I'm not sure if you don't have someone that can drive. I usually compile a list of things we can do and just refer to my calendar each day to see what might be fun. You didn't say what area you are in, but here are some things that should be universal no matter where you live:
1. Library - usually have programs/show/clowns/magicians, etc.
2. Barnes & Nobels/bookstores - usually have some kid things to do
3. movie theaters - some offer summer movie clubs where tickets are like $2.00 each, it's usually old movies, but still something fun
4. pools/splash parks/small water parks - Bedford splash is a great small waterpark for small kids, NRH20 is also another good one that would be more exciting for the older ones. Most areas around here have some sort of pool/water park
5. Vacation Bible Schools - check all of your local churches for their VBS times. Some are doing nights, and some do days. They are usually 3-4 hours, have tons of fun things to do. The older kids could volunteer to help out b/c they would be too old to attend
6. Do you get Groupons? They usually put out deals around this time of year. There was one today for Nytex sports camps...1/2 day for 1 week for $45.00
That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but there are really TONS of things to do if you just look and ask around.
Check local churches for Vacation Bible School opportunities. This keeps the kids busy in a good activities, and is low cost or sometimes free.
