Hi Mamas,
I have a friend who is a real estate again so has some flexibility in her schedule and is looking for summer camps for her two boys, 6 and 8. Ideally something 8 or 9am to 3pm would be great. The kids get bored at home but she wants something where they will learn things not just be babysat. So Mamas, please don't let me down.. give me your great ideas/places for summer camps.
Thank you so much!

Where does your friend live? I'm assuming she'll want something close to home. McKinney ISD has summer mini-camps that run from 9am-2pm. They are $95/week. Go to www.mckinneyisd.net for more information.
it's spring time and I am already getting ready for my daughter summer camp experience. Pali Adventures is my camp of choice. They specialize in a All Girls Power Extreme Camp that allows girls to get down to business. Check it out for yourself.
Both the McKinney ISD and the Allen ISD have summer camps. Also, pick up either the North Texas Children (not sure the name) that is usually at McDonalds or Dallas Child (also free - check your free mag newstands) for lists of summer camps. There are tons to chose from out there!!
Oh yeah, First United Methodist in Plano has great camps with the option to stay late. They also have a program through their preschool, so check both on their website.
Try Young Chefs Academy, they are located in the Carrollton, Frisco, Plano, Colleyville & Ft Worth areas. They have some great affordable summer day camps and evening classes. The kids not only have a graet time, but they are learning life skills that every child needs! check out their websits at www.youngchefsacademy.com
