How involved is your husband or signif. other involved in the Super Bowl next Sunday. Mine is planning the entire day around the pre-game and game. Mind you the pre-game starts at 7:30 AM. I think I am going to go nuts before noon.
I'm in Dallas - so it's all superbowl all the time here lately! My husbands cousins are coming in for the game, so they will staying with us and that means a lot of cooking and clenaing for us. We are going to drop them off and pick them up - just heard it's $1,000 to park anywhere within a mile of the stadium!!! As for watching the game itself? I'm hoping we get invited to a great party. We can't let it pass without doing anything at all, but the sports bars are going to be overcrowded and overpriced. I'm half thinking I should throw a watch party myself. It would be a lot cheaper than going out and I wouldn't need to pay a sitter.

my husband doesn't care too much one way or another, especially now that the underdog teams lost. he is into college football (ALL the SEC teams, so a TON of games) and ALL the NASCAR races (i think there are like 45 races or something - it goes from a week or two after the superbowl, until like september i think? it seems to take FOREVER) i wish he was just obsessed with NFL! i am, however, thankful he's not into baseball or basketball :)

My husband doesn't care one iota. I on the other hand will be attending a party but sadly, being a native Pennsylvanian in the midwest, I will be the only one rooting for the Steelers.

I am not sure where you are from but our entire day and night are going to be devoted to the SuperBowl. Now before you think I am crazy let me tell you that we live in Green Bay! So, it is hard not to have your life revolve around it. My usually business attire insurance company I work for is allowing us to wear jeans and Packer attire all week next week. We are even having a luncheon on Friday. So, as I said...it is hard not to get completely involved. I say, as long as it is clean fun, go with it...and I say root for the Green and Gold! Go Pack Go! :) Have fun with it!

It not my husband, it's me. I love the Super Bowl, can watch pregame all day long, the game and post game. The good news is, he's going to be home all day. Maybe you can leave the kids at home for a few hours and get some time to yourself.

Well now that the Jets are out of it, no one here is terribly interested in the Super Bowl (at least in my house!). We always watch it anyway, but are not very rabid about it. Hubby is definitely not a huge football fan...but the Tour de France, well that's another story! And the bad thing about that is that it goes on for a whole month! Just be glad the SB is just one day :)

We are planning having some people over to watch the game here at the house. I'm not a big football fan (Basketball I like:) but I get into the Superbowl.
We light up our big screen and make munchies and have some beer and wine coolers on hand. It's a family affair. Everyone's invited, kids and all.
Great excuse to hang out and enjoy each other :)

Oh lordy, my husband thinks that the Monday following Super Bowl Sunday should be a national holiday and he's not kidding! I can't wait until the season is over, personally! I'm not a huge football fan. I'll probably cook some snacks for my hubby and friends and watch the kids during the game. I may pop in to watch the commercials though, but he'll have the whole thing recorded I'm sure!

I commented on the other post about super bowl. I know nothing about it,don't know when it is,don't know who's playing...couldn't care less. It made me laugh cuz someone suggested that I "bone up" on it so I could impress my husband....he doesn't know anything about it either! lol
I guess you could say that we are not watching ANY part of super bowl, commercials, or pregame.
(but, if it was World Cup....THAT would be a whole 'nother story!)

We're both going to a friend's annual chili cook off and Superbowl party. We were actually going to throw our own this year because they originally weren't, but then they stepped up (YEA!), so we have a sitter -and I can't wait! The whole day -no. I view it much like the Academy Awards. I LOVE the Oscars, and when they're on -I want to watch the pre-show/arrivals and the show without interruption, so he deals with the kids that evening. I think it's fine if you're not into it (I only go to the party to drink some beer, eat some chili and socialize) and he is, but he needs to stick to the pre-game show that starts an hour or hour and a half before the game and then the game.

Football season!! My husband has more than one "event" during the season. We start with Fantasy Football Draft Day (usually around Labor Day). Himself and the boys hook up for a day that starts with golf and ends at someone's house picking their players.(his car does not leave the house that day:) ) There are other events and then it ends with Super Bowl Sunday. He/We are Chicago Bear fans so we are rooting against Green Bay. It will start early...with the tv coverage. It's a long day. All I can say is be glad it's just Super Bowl Sunday....I am a football widow. Mine loves college football as welll as the NFL....trust me you could have it worse! :) Suck it up and be glad he is only doing all of this on just that day. Oh and think about taking the next day off, if you work. :) You think it's bad having an entire day revolve around football....our weekends, for months, revolve around Chicago Bear "bye" weeks and times of games. I knew it before I married him....and do things sometimes without him.

We live in Korea so the super bowl doesn't start until 8 a.m. Monday for us. Since he is in the army it is a four day weekend because of super bowl Sunday hahaha. He plans on watching it because his team the Steelers are playing but we aren't doing anything big. Just sit and watch the game and watch our son play.

I'm definitely way more into the super bowl then my boyfriend! I was SO MAD when I learned that I had to work the night of the super bowl, thus ruining my plans for a party. My boyfriend would probably play Call of Duty during the superbowl, checking the score in between his own games.

Mine would watch it, but he doesnt have to. Instead, we continue my college tradition of a marathon of something all day. I really want to do Alias this year, but with a smart 4 year old, I dont think that will happen. I may throw in Star Wars or Lord of the Rings, of course if I want to watch all of LotR in one day with my extended editions, I have to start as early as your husband. :-) If my daughter gets a say, it will probably be Transformers.

My dad loves football, and no matter who was playing he spent the whole day watching all the pregame stuff eating junk. My mom on the other had despises all sports espically football, and is a health nut. So on Super Sunday she would leave the house as soon as dad turned on the tv, leaving him with all 5 of us kids while she spent some time alone doing whatever made her happy.

Oh yes the Suberbowl sunday is always crazy for us. We will have a house full of men three fridges full of beer and tables full of really unhealthy food. This year my husband is probably more into the party than the game because we really dont care of either team. Now if the Jets had gone that would have been great.
PS- I have my own room downstairs with wine and the wives
