My last 2 were born at Mercy San Juan.
So I have had no experience with sutter of roseville.

I have been trying to get into a stork tour but every night I can get a babysitter, they are full. I have been trying for 2 months!
Just poor luck.

SO I turn to my mama source ladies... help a mama out!
I have a few questions.
I do know where the family birth center is, my OB is right in the sutter plaza. SO that isn't an issue.

1. Do they have internet access there? I am having a repeat c/s and going to school online. I am wondering if I need to teach my hubby to access the school and turn things in for me? or do I turn things in before (which I plan to but last time it turned out to be an emergency c/s and this might not be an option..)If there is internet access this would be a moot point, I can do it around nursing and drug induced hazes..

2. for the c/s do I goto the hospital or to the birth center? (I plan to ask my OB too BUT I don't see her until the 2nd..)

Over all what was your experience with SR??

What can I do next?

S.,

Sutter Roseville is awesome! I had my daughter there in November. I was actually in the emergency room due to a fall when my water broke. All of the nurses and Dr's were awesome. My OB was off work about two hours before I gave birth so I had another Dr actually perform the delivery. He was great as well.

I was so overwhelmed with visitors and learning how to breastfeed I didn't see if they had Internet Access.

Good luck!!!

Hi S.,

Unfortunately I can't answer either of your questions, but I can tell you that I had a great experience at Sutter Roseville. My son was born in Novemember and every nurse I had from labor to delivery to post-partum was wonderful! They also have a lactation consultant that nakes rounds daily (I think) and spent some time with me to help get breastfeeding off to a good start.

Oh--If I remember right, when I took a tour of the hospital, I believe they said the operating rooms are right there in the birthing center, so I would imagine you'd go there.

Good luck!!

Jennifer

Hi S.,
I had my first child 4 months ago at sutter roseville and I loved it. I had an emergency c section and was there for about 4 days and actually didn't want to leave. You have your own room which was very comfortable and the nurses were the best. The birthing center was more like a nice hotel than a hospital. I went in to be induced and they put me in one room and after my cs they have a different room you go to for recovery. So I would say for your cs you would go to the birthing center. I don't know if they have internet access or not. The birthing center is right next to the hospital on medical plaza drive, there are signs that direct you to it.

Anyway, my experience was awesome. I can't say enough good things about my birthing experience there. Hope this helps!

I don't know if they have internet access and I didn't have a c/s, but I did deliver both of my children at this hospital and the staff was wonderful. With my first I was in labor forever, and the nurses were so great. The rooms are nice and private which is wonderful. I had two gteat experiences myself here, and I know of several other people who delivered there with the same experience. When my daughter was born I actually ended up having my recovery room in pediatrics since the maternity wing was full. They nurses were still great up there and I didn't have any problems. I wouldn't want to deliver at any other hospital.
