My boys currently attend a center. They are constantly sick and battling a transient staff. I am thinking of switching them to a loving home day care, but need good suggestions. My boys are 2 and 4. Advice?

I'm sorry that I don't have any specific homes to direct you toward, but I think it's a wonderful idea! I worked in a daycare, and I assure you we sterilized everything constantly... and STILL those kids passed everything around. My son was constantly sick while I worked there. We decided to just make due on my husband's paycheck, and I started staying home with my son. It's been a year, and he hasn't been seriously sick since. He's had a cold or two, but always clear runny nose that went away on it's own in a week. It's amazing!
Good luck in your search, if I hear of anything I'll be sure to let you know!
What city are you in?

Hi J., you didn't say where you lived. If its in the McKinney area ~ I may be able to help you find someone. I have an inhome daycare but am currently full. You can go to my website at www.kidsinbloom.blogspot.com and I have a section if you scroll to the bottom called "Are you currently looking for care?". I have a list of some people in my area that you might want to call and some other ways to help find people in the area.
One more thing, In McKinney a registered home can keep up to 6 little ones and 6 school age kids. Now a lot of homes are becoming licensed with the state so that they can have more ~ up to 12 little ones at a time plus the school age kid. You may want to double check with the provider before you make a decision. Having a licensed provider is probably not want you are looking for if you want a smaller teacher/kid ratio. Hope this helps! Good luck, A. B.
Mary's Little Lambs!! She is in Frisco and I believe she is on here too! She is wonderful with our daughter and we just love it there!
