Both of my boys have food allergies and they drink Rice Dream rice milk. I buy the original flavor that is enriched with extra nutrients. It compares to the nutritional value of skim milk. If your child is reating to the cows' milk and soy milk, he could be allergic to both the milk protein and soy protein. Contact your pediatrican again and request a food allergy panel test. It is a blood test and you will have the results in a week. Be cautious of goat's milk - it contains the similiar protein as cow's milk and if he is truly allergic he may be to goat's milk too. Lactose free milk is for those who are lactose intolerant (can not process the sugars in milk) and if he is allergic to either the milk or soy protein Lactaid will not help him. My boys were tested for milk, soy, peanuts, egg, and wheat. They are allergic to many of them. Now that we have cut it out of their diets and found other replacements, both are happy, healthy, and better sleepers because their skin doesn't itch or bellies hurt.
