You need to contact your doctor right away. Ibuprofen is a big no no! Not sure how familiar you are with anatomy, but when a baby is in utero, baby receives oxygen and nutrients via the umbilical cord and placenta. When a baby is born and the cord is clamped, a duct allowing access to the umbilical cord closes (as it is no longer needed), and blood is rerouted to the baby's heart and lungs, as baby is able to self-sustain outside of the mother. As per my OB, ibuprofen is actually the same or similar drug given to infants at birth, whose umbilical ducts do not close, and can cause severe comlications. So when you are taking ibuprofen, baby is getting ibuprofen as it crosses the placenta and can cause the umbilical duct to close prematurely, cutting off baby's access to oxygen and nutrients via the umbilical cord.
A little known fact is that ibuprofen can be safely taken in pregnancy up until the 26th week (thru 2nd trimester) in moderation. But because ultrasound and week of gestation are estimations, OB's err on the side of caution and just tells moms to avoid it all together.
Of course, I am not a doctor. But if I were you, I would stop taking it immediately and consult with your OB and let her plan a course of treatment. Better safe than sorry! Good luck.
