Hi Ladies,
I have an 11 month old and a baby on the way. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a Tandum stroller. I would like one where the baby and toddler sit front and back not side to side. I would also like to be able to snap an infant carrier into it. Then use it as a regular stroller once the baby is old enough. Another plus would be if the two of them can look at each other. And ~ If not I would like it if I can have the baby facing me. Is there such a stroller out there? Has anyone had to purchase this type of stroller and if so can you give me your pros and cons. We have some time yet but I would like some to shop around. Thank you.

What can I do next?

We LOVE our Sit n Stand stroller. My husband likes it so much because it's light weight and very easy to manuver so he keeps it in his car, DANG! Anyway, it adjusts for which ever carrier you have and the second seat behind would be for your toddler. Then when baby-to-be starts to sit you remove the carrier bar and add on her tray and your toddler's seat comes off to convert to the sit/stand part for when she/he is bigger and then she/he can get off and on easily instead of you having to pick her/him up to take her/him in and out. There are straps for all the areas so you don't have to worry about safety. Now we have basic sit n stand because when we had our second our oldest was already out of the actual stroller seat. Like I said, it is very light weight and very easy to manuver anywhere!

Go to the One Step Ahead site and the one you would want it the Sit 'n Stand Elite Double Stroller. I put the diredt link below so I hope you can copy and paste it. Otherwise just go to the site and look under strollers.

The side by sides are OK but a pain when going in and out of places and in stores because they are much wider. The other doubles I looked at are horribly bulky, pain to manuver and weigh much, much more than the sit n Stand. My cousin had a side by side and a Graco double and hated them both because they we to heavy and bulky.

I hope this helps and I would love to know what your decision is! Please keep me updated!

Good luck,
M.

Didnt read the other responses, but we have the Kolcraft one where you can take the seats and face them which ever way you want, there is a large cargo area, an adaptor for the baby carrier, and little handles on the side where an older kid can walk and hold on. I love it. It drives well for being large (even folded). My oldest is 3 an almost a little big for the seats, but is super lazy (why we opted not for sit and stand), so it works just fine. Ours is red and we got it thru Amazon, but we tried it out at Baby's R Us.

I have a graco quattro tour duo stroller. I have 11 month old twin boys and a 3.5 year old. I chose this stroller initially because the front seat is rated for 50 lbs so my toddler would be able to sit too and I can snuggli a baby if she actually wants to ride. both seats can hold an infant carrier if needed which both face mama or both can be used as a seat where both face forward. The second seat is slightly higher so the baby in the back can see too. It has a great turning radius and I can make tight turns like to get into the doc rooms or in small elevators. It's also not too heavy to lift in and out of the car. Cup holders, big basket underneath for me. oh and the bar comes off the front seat so older toddlers can climb in and out by themsleves. The seat belts are also 5 point in both seats of the stroller. I absolutely love this stroller. Good Luck!
