Just curious if anyone has seen Tangled and if you think it is appropriate for a 4 year old? Why or why not? Thanks so much!

I found it to be the same level of intensity as most Disney princess movies. I enjoyed it with my 8 year-old daughter. I just asked her if there was anything she wouldn't want a 4 year-old to see and she said "them kissing".

BTW - the "mom" doesn't fall to her death out of the tower, she ages back to dust before the empty robe hits the ground.

it is PG but I thought it was fine. My 4yr old and 2yr old both saw it and loved it. They even wore their Rapunzel dresses to the movie. I usually screen PG movies before letting the 4yr old see them but felt that Disney wouldn't be bad.

i took my 5 year old daughter to it and it was AMAZING. seriously one of the best movies i have ever seen in my life. There is a little bit of very subtle adult humor, but nothing that a 4 year old would pick up on. i definitely say to take your 4 year old! it is amazing! you will not regret it! i went with my mom and my 5 year old and it was such a great day out for us girls!

My 4 year old son loved it! He went with my sister (it was "date" night), and she said it was really good too! Enjoy!

Well, I wish some folks wouldn't have spoiled the ending for you but oh well. If you're wanting to know why the movie is PG instead of G, I would say it's probably because of a scene where someone gets stabbed and there's some blood. You don't actually see anything happening, but you do see the knife and some movement. The scene was extremely "mild" and hardly felt violent to me at all, but they were forced to rate it PG because of that. If your daughter likes Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, etc., she'll love this one. I took my 3 and 5 year olds to see it twice! :-)

We took our 3 year old to see a couple of weeks ago - she really enjoyed it and I thought it was really cute. I didn't see anything at all objectionable about it. The "mom" that keeps Rapunzel locked in the tower can be a little scary toward the end, and they show her falling out the window to her death. She actually lands *whump* on the ground, covered in her robe. That's about the only thing that I can think of that kids might be find unsettling.

EDITED TO ADD: Thank you Sue W. - I didn't realize that that was how it actually happened. :)

We saw it last week in the theater and we loved it but my kids are 10,8 and 6. Not sure if your daughter can follow the story but there isn't any reason why she coudn't watch it.

My girls (almost 6 and 3 years old) loved it and so did I. The mom is a little bit scary, so you might be concerned if your daughter is sensitive, but it didn't bother mine at all. My oldest used to be afraid of Disney movie's evil characters, but she has outgrown that. If your daughter has seen any of the other Disney princess movies and was ok, then Tangled will be fine. I actually thought the Princess and the Frog was a lot "darker" and scarier.

My 4y daughter LOVED it. We saw the regular, not the 3D version. She keeps begging to go back.

Yes! Took my 6 year old and 3 year (almost 4) old twin girls. The movie is delightful, and very appropriate for children of all ages. Parents will love it, too. You know how they say "destined to become a Disney classic" about every Disney film? For this one, it's true. You'll love it!

It was a very sweet movie. I really enjoyed it , and I think it's perfectly fine for a 4-year-old! It wasn't dark, the villain wasn't scary...it was just a cute, fun movie!
