I'm wondering if anyone knows of a place that hosts tea parties for little girls birthdays. My little girl is turning 5 next month & would love to go somewhere for a tea party w/dress up clothes, etc. I live in Plymouth, so would be looking for something in the northwest or west suburbs. Thanks!

What can I do next?

HI K.....I have taken my niece to the Mad Hatter Tea Room in Anoka and it was a BLAST! They have a website with lots of great info! There is a whole hat tree and glove box for people to choose from....very cute! The kids meal was great also ~ it is described on their website.

Hope you have fun!

this doesn't fit your requirements, but I've heard (over & over) that the American Girl Store's restaurant in the MOA does a great job of the bday party/tea party. Or even if you didn't do the party but just ate there. Good luck!

K.,
I too live in Plymouth and my daughter has become obsessed with tea parties (she is 23 months old). I can't wait to see if you get any responses that are closer and just for an everyday activity. Sorry I can't offer any advice, but thanks for asking the question.

Try the Minnetonka General Store. I know they have teas but not sure if they would do a birthday tea.

The Oak Grill restaurant on the 12th floor of Macy's downtown also does afternoon teas. It's a very elegant place, if you've never been there and I would think if you went on a weekend afternoon they wouldn't be very busy. But call ahead and see. They might enjoy tailoring a party for little girls - I bet they don't get too many little ones in there on a regular basis.

Serendipity in Andover! It's a great cafe and gift shop, and a friend just had her daughter's birthday tea this past Spring--it was adorable!
