My son and I got clay pots and decorated them with acrylic markers and put some herb plants in them. His teachers loved them! They can use the fresh herbs and think of my son.
My daughter is graduating Kindergarten I need some ideas for a gift for her teacher. Thank you very much for your help

I am a teacher an I love when I get a plant from my students. I can walk through my backyard and see the rose bush from Ali, the baby pine tree from Devon, and the azalea bush from Ryan etc.
Supplies are nice but forgetful. Save those kinds of things for teacher appreciation week as a way of recognizing teachers spending their own money for school stuff. Gift cards are perfect at Christmas time since teachers $ supply is usually tight, and personally, I use gift cards to help me give gifts.
My sister is a teacher and has told me she loves getting gift cards more than anything else. She has a house full of stuff from her kids.
I know that a lot of teachers provide class supplies out of their own pockets... what about a gift certificate for a nearby teacher supply store (I am having a total memory lapse right now so I can't think of the name of one). Or, if she likes gardening maybe a gift card to a nursery? I have done gift cards for pamper items too, like bath and body works, pedicure or manicure...
bath and body works has whole lines of things beyong just lotions and body washes, so i would try to be unique and get something 'different'. :)
If you know the teacher lives in a house where she can plant a flower, I agree with Leslie. Plants are always nice. One of my students gave me a geranium and it looks great in my garden.

A pedicure for being on her feet ALL day.
She will LOVE it!
(I teach preK)
A photo of the class is always sweet too...
cash or gift cards, you can't go wrong and she can never have too many.
I am a former teacher, and all of the items previously mentioned are great gifts: gift cards, plants, flowers, supplies, cash, pedicures, and would be much appreciated by your child's teacher. The Chalkboard is a teacher supply store in Naperville on Rte 59. Most teachers do shell out a lot of money on classroom decorations, supplies, and fun things, so gift cards are great. My advice is to steer away from candles and coffee mugs. Most teachers have plenty of those already!
Gift cards. Some think they're tacky but as a teacher I'd rather have a gift card than another trinket or ceramic apple to add to my collection of tchatckes.
