I'm looking for suggestions for teacher gifts that are inexpensive and not too fattening. Ideas for a gift for a group of teachers would also be helpful. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I used to give my daughter's teachers hand cream. The hand cream I have on hand, it's a peach scent and hydrates the skin immediately without feeling greasy.

May sound odd but teachers wash their hands a lot being around kiddos and handle a lot of paper each day. I went to the dollar store and bought coffee mugs and hershey kisses. I put the hand creams in the coffee mugs and added the candies.

It's a nice inexpensive gift teachers can keep handy in their desk drawer.

If I can help out let me know.

Gift certificates or gift cards are a great idea. I personally like giving American Express or Visa cards, because then they can get anything they want. But if you know for sure that they like something, like reading then get Barnes and Noble, or like listening to music on their iPod then get an iTunes card, etc. then go with that. Group gifts I find are generally hard, because unless it is food, how would they share? Also, another idea I like to do is a mug, a packet of hot chocolate or tea, and a small gift card to Barnes and Noble. Good luck!

My sister wanted to get her son's teacher a nice gift and was in the same boat- she decided on having her son make a book mark, he got to decorate it any way he wanted, she then laminated it, and wrapped it up with a gift card for the book store =) Hope this helps =)
Take care,
H.

I like to give chocolate covered strawberries from Berry Elegance in Studio City. You get the best of both worlds; nutrition and decadence. I usually get 2 for about $5, but you can build your gift any way you please to suit your budget. I have 4 school aged children, so teacher gift giving can be a bit expensive. Good luck!!

I gave our teacher some nice floating candles last year and she loved them. But gift certificates are always good so they can get something that they need. Teachers also love when you make donations to the classroom such as pencils, crayons, glue sticks....

Gift certificates are GREAT! To Jamba Juice, Target, etc. For a group of teachers, maybe a 'gift certificate' of time to help them with what they need like stapling, filing, getting crafts ready (cut out etc.).
