Do you know of anyone that will hire you without teacher certification? I am currently working on getting into alternative teaching program and i do have a Bachelors degree. Does anyone have any info on grants that would help me with school
C. did you ever find a teaching job. I am currently in Texas Teachers alternative program it is good so far. Also Arlington ISD is having a job Fair on April 4 look at their web site.
When I was teaching we had sub. teachers that were working on getting their certification. You could do that the pay might be that great I think it is around $70 per day if you have your bachelors. Is the alternative teaching program the same as the emergency certification program? My friend did that 5 years ago through region XI.
Like the previous poster stated, some private schools hire teachers without teaching certificates. I started out teaching at a private school. I was certified, but not all of the teachers were. That being said, I only made 19,000 a year. I did love my job though! Good luck. :-)
Many private schools don't require a teaching certificate. The pay isn't as good at a private school, but you often enjoy other benefits, like safer environment and more active, involved parents.
