I dont think i would worry about him loosing his teeth, as for the molar he probably is getting what is called a six year molar. i wouldnt worry but if you are worried i would make a dentist appointment.
My son turned 7 in February and has yet to lose any of his baby teeth, is this normal or should I worry? He's also got a molar coming in the back, what age does this normally happen I don't remember with my daughter, but I do know by the time she was this age she's lost quite a few teeth.
Thanks every one for your answers. I'm a worrier, I've not taken him to a dentist--one cause I don't have insurance and two he's got a heart issue that certain things can't be used on him there and I'm afraid something will go wrong. I know it's just x-rays but still...he's my baby.

Typically they lose their front bottom teeth around 6/7 years of age. You can check to see if there is any movement to them.
My son lost his first 2 teeth a little after his 5th birthday and they were lose for awhile before the finally came out.
I wouldnt worry much...I have a 7 yr old that just lost her two bottom teeth about 4 mths ago and the other ones are just now coming out...I alos do remember that does were the first ones that came out...she was a very late teether...she got her first 2 teeth when she was a 1 yr old and till she was at least a 1 1/2 the others started to come out...I also have 3 other kids and they all got there teeth at different times...so its no biggy...your childs teeth will come out when there ready...hope this help..

My son just lost his first tooth a little over a month ago and is is 8 1/2. Have you taken your son to the dentist to make sure everything is okay? I have been taking my son to the dentist since he was 3 and they were finally able to take x-rays about 6 months ago. As long as the x-rays look fine then you or your son should have nothing to worry about. This is also one way that they can tell if they are about to start loosing the baby teeth. The dentist had told us he would probably loose his first tooth within the next 6 months based on where his permanent teeth were sitting. Then viola within a few months one was loose, and now a second one is as well. Basically it all boils down to this, teeth will come out on their own time when they are ready and this is one thing we can not rush or have control over.
My oldest daughter didn't loose any teeth until well into her 7th year. She's 9 now and has only lost 6 teeth, 2 of them only within the last month. Ask your dentist but, unless he/she says something different, don't worry about it. :)

I didn't lose any teeth until I was in 1st grade. So it probably is "normal". If your really worried check with your dentist or doctor. My daughter is 6 and has lost 2 teeth within the last 2 months. Good Luck!
My 21 mo daughter knocked her front two baby teeth loose a few weeks ago. We took her to the dentist who said she may lose them and she'd just do without until about 8 yrs old when the permanent ones come in. So, to answer your question, I wouldn't worry b/c my dentist said 8 is when it usually happens.
Hi K.,
I have 4 children and the oldest one started loosing his teeth around 1st grade and my 2nd child a boy he is 6 yrs old has yet to loose any yet. He says his mouth hurts sometimes inside, I look but don't see anything so I think it should be anytime now.
From what I read about what the other mothers have said it seems to be the norm. Hope this helps W.
