He may not be getting into that deep sleep. My daughter is 13 months old and has been really tired lately. It could also be the excessive heat. Hope your little one feels better soon!

Hi S.. Yes, it's very normal for your baby to be tired while teething. But it culd also be a growth spurt. I know that when my babies were your age, they'd always sleep extra long and often during these growth spurts. I don't think there's anthing you need to worry about, especially because his appetite is good.

Teething pain can keep them restless at night which makes for a sleepy child during the day. Try Hyland's Teething Tablets (available at most pharmacies, just ask the pharmacist). They're truly a miracle. Your little one will sleep soundly and painlessly.

My 2.5 year old was always SUPER tired when teething. I just counted it as a blessing because so many of my friend's kids didn't sleep at all while teething and mine was the opposite. I remember him sleeping like 14 hours at night and taking super long naps. I think its just how some kids cope, they probably feel yucky.

My kids did the same thing. It's normal. The kids also get extra sleepy when they are growing. He might be teething/growing at the same time.
