Don't believe everything you read. My son had 4 teeth at 4 mos.
Some babies are even born with teeth.
My son just turned 3 months. Every book and everything I've read says that the earliest babies begin teething is 4 months, but I swear my son is teething already. He is constantly chewing his fingers and yesterday he found my finger and was gumming it hard. My husband tried giving him a teething toy yesterday and he chewed on that for quite a while. He is not really acting fussy or feverish or anything. Is is possible he's teething this early? Has anyone else had their baby teething at this age? Thanks in advance!

My son began teething at 11 weeks. His first tooth erupted when he was about 5 months old.
It is possible, my son started at 3 months & now he is 8 months & has 4 teeth. I used everything to try & relieve the pain for him, what works the best for him is the teething tablets. They dissolve as soon as it hits his mouth, so no worries of choking!
It is definitely possible. Don't let anyone tell you different. I found that wet wash clothes in the fridge soothed well.
Hi C.,
It's possible that he's teething. It's even possible that when a baby is born that he is born with teeth already. Every baby is different. Good luck.

Just wanted to add that my second daughter started teething very early as well. She had 2 teeth at 3 months! Of course, the teething process started before that and it seemed pretty uncomfortable for my baby because i don't think she knew how to deal with the discomfort. I too was thinking this is way to early...but you know the signs and lets face it the whole teething process can be pretty long. I also found it hard too because they are too young to hold their own teething toy/washcloth. My daughter is 8.5 months and has 6 teeth. So different than my first...
Don't worry my friends daughter's were teething at 3 months and had a full set at 7 months sometimes the body just does what it wants to do.
My daughter did the same thing. It did take a while for the tooth to come in even though. :)A. H
oh god yes, that is possible. My son started at 2 months old. his first tooth didn't cut till his 7th month. It was hell. No one believed me, but he screamed in pain for nearly 5 months and nothing really helped except baby motrin and frozen teething rings. good luck!
My son's first tooth started coming in a week before he was four months so it's definitely possible!
