Hi, I have a 3 month old boy. a little after one month he started drooling a lot like when they are going to start teething. I asked the Dr. and he said they usualy start drooling at 4-5 months but that he was ok. Well to my surprise this weekend I was cleanning his gums and I felt a molar sticking out already. There is a small part of the molar out already on the bottom right side of his mouth. His front teeth have not yet come out. I have never heard of such thing is it normal should I take him to the Dr. or the Dentist?
Thank you all for your response, I searched online for answers aswell and found that it is uncommon but normal. I took him to the Dr. anyways and he ended up telling me it was 2 small zists but that he was ok. I still have my doubts about it being a zist so ill just wait and see if it grows or something comes out. Thank you all again.
There is no normal when it comes to teeth. One of my nephews was born with 3 teeth. My own boys (twins) teeth 2 to 4 teeth at a time. Their 2 year molars started coming in at 15 months.
You can check with the dentist however he may tell you that the order the teeth come in is something that is inherited, this may be how your husbands teeth cam in check with his mother.
Not sure about molars first, but my experiences are just as, um, strange. My first son had 2 teeth poke out at 3 months before I even realized he was teething!! He drooled, but not excessively. And his teeth experiences have been just as easy all the way through.
Now, my second son was a little different. He had rivers coming out of his mouth for what seemed like months before anything popped through. At 6 he finally lost a bottom incisor (the tooth to the right of the two bottom middle ones- he lost that first), while the two bottom front ones were loose AND the adult teeth were coming in behind them. He's finally lost 5 teeth, but still has one of the bottom middle teeth hanging in there. Don't know if you can picture it, but he has a baby tooth in the middle at the bottom, with the four adult teeth coming in around it. We call it shark mouth (with the two rows of teeth) and he's quite proud. I did take him to the dentist when both bottom front baby teeth and adult teeth were all there, in fact to two dentists, and they all said it would be fine. I just will get to pay for braces. Woohoo! (At least it's just one!)
On another note, my grandfather said he had a cousin that was born WITH teeth, how weird is that? I would take your child to the dentist, just to make sure all is ok, but I really think it is fine.
I wouldn't worry. From what I've learned babies teeth can and will do what they want when it comes to appearing. Just take all the right dental care steps to make sure they don't disappear too soon and you son will be fine. Enjoy the stories you will be able to tell later about the unusual early arrival of his first molar.

There is such a variable with baby teeth. Some babies are born with teeth! Some kids will have 3 sets of certain teeth!

I do no think you need to go to the dentist, but you could call if you feel you need to be sure about this.
Here is something interesting. Most children will lose their teeth in the same order they came in!

To be on the safe side, it's a good idea for you to take your son to a pediatric dentist since molars generally erupt after the front teeth and much later than 3 months!
