The "Belly Bandit" Does It Work- Have You Used It?

Hi Mamas,

I am due in about 4 weeks and I was thinking of purchasing the belly bandit. I wanted to know any advise about this product. Was it a good purchase, did it work for you, or is there something else out there that works better? I didn't use it with my first pregnancy, I just kept wearing my belly band for a while, which I think helped but not enough. Especially with a second pregnancy I want something that will hold it all in. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks!

What can I do next?

i had this, but it was one that they gave me in the hospital. ask them for it after you have the baby or call before hand and see if they offer them so you will be prepared. they gave me 2. it helped so much (i had a c section) and it really helped me in terms of posture and keeping the pressure against my incision. i wore it about 3 weeks and then i went back to my belly band so i could get more air circulation around my incision (the hospital one got hot) and i wanted to be able to wear some of my post pregnancy clothes and the hospital one is too bulky to wear inside your pants, but my belly band worked great. i probably wore my belly band about 2 mos post partum.

Ask the hosp for a post partum band. They are like large ace bandages. After a week or two, go get fitted for a Belly Bandit if you want one. I'm glad I waited until after about 2 wks, otherwise, I would have bought one size too large. I didn't like mine for under clothes so much. It was stiff and bulky. If I were doing it again, I'd get more like the cheapo one I got from the hospital and just keep buying down a size. In general, I did like post partum binding. I felt it was comfortable and helped hold things together. :)

I have been wondering the very same thing, so I was hoping that you would get a lot of responses. With my first the hospital gave me one of the binders and it was decent, it definitely helped! I am preggo now with 9 weeks to go and am thinking about buying a little nicer one but was unsure. I checked out the reviews on Amazon and they were pretty helpful. Most people had to buy two after one became to big, some people loved them, others said they were overpriced and not worth it. You should check them out on Amazon there are a lot of moms there that spoke about their experience it was helpful!

Oh, for crying out loud! I got so excited thinking, ah, a question I can answer and something I actually know about since my kids are in their 30's and I don't have a lot of the problems and situations that all you young ladies do.

And then I read the question. The only belly band I know about are the ones that go on male dogs to help prevent them from peeing in the house. THAT I know about. THIS belly band I never heard of. LOL!

Can't wait to keep reading answers to find out what this one does. I hope I made everyone else laugh as much as I did, hehe.
