I feel like V. needs a little defending. Everything she has said about febrile seizures ,are true. I think some are being a little hard on her. Even if her sons seizures turn out to not be febrile, she will probably never know the main cause ( or if it will reoccur in subsequent children) and if so, should that stop her from having more children? That's her decision, if she can manage .
Having said all that, febrile seizures can be a precursor to an underlying, more serious seizure disorder. If a child has them longer than 5 minutes or they continue after the age of 5, they are classified as a different type of seizure & medication is required. So, I also understand why some are showing concern for your situation and suggesting you wait until your sons seizures stabilize.
Ultimately, you need to do what's right for you and your family and follow your heart.
