Anyone use those type of bottles? I was wondering if it was worth it to buy those and the drop-in liners? I'm wondering if it's cost effecient or just way more convienent...what are your thoughts? Thanks.

What can I do next?

I have two sets of twins and we used the Platex drop-in bottle system for both! We loved/love it! You can buy the Target drop in liners cheaper and they will work with the Playtex.

I used normal bottles with my daughter after I stopped breast feeding and she did fine with them I just always seemed to have SO many bottles in my sink to wash & sanatize... When she was about 6 months old I broke down and bought one bottle & a box of liners. It was the best purchase I ever made!!! She was really past the gasy stage but I could see how that would have helped her belly but the convienence(?) for me was HUGE I did not have to spend 15 minutes each night cleaning bottles infact I accually only had 2-8oz drop-on & 1-4oz drop in that replaced all my other bottles... now can we find sippy cups that could do that ;o)

I have the Playtex brand and all of my kids preferred those to any other bottles. They are a lot more convenient because I do not have a dishwasher and seriously, I sometimes do not feel like scrubbing a bottle so just a quick rinse and change of the nipple. I have also washed the liners one time and used again before tossing. The Target Up&Up brand fits great and costs half the price.

I used the playtex too, and loved them. I only had a few bottles, but lots of nipples, and they were super easy. If you breastfeed and pump, the gerber and lansinoh bags will fit in them too, so no extra drop ins. I used the target brand drop ins too, but occasionally had leaks with them, they weren't quite as sturdy as the name brand drop ins. I don't know if it is cost-efficient with formula, but definitely way more convenient. And with no dishwasher it might be more cost efficient too.

I used them and really liked them because I was not always washing bottles. I can not say if they are cost effective because my children were breast fed for the most part. I am a klutz and was always dropping or knocking the bottles over and they never broke. I also liked the ease of storing both in the cabinet and for breast milk in them in the freezer. Good luck

Hello Army of One!

I was a Nanny for many year, and used a lot of different bottles. My favorite were the ones with a drop in liner. They are more expensive, but I felt the child had less gas.

I'm not sure if you are pumping or using formula. for breast milk. I liked the liners that were not molded. they were like little ziplock baggies. I would put my milk in the them and toss it in the freezer. I thought they were much easier and cheaper. You can also freeze breast milk in ice trays. each little tray is about an ounce. Once i switched to formula I just used the regular advent bottles. I thought they were easier and not as messy. But i do have a dishwasher.

We use the playtex drop-ins and love the convenience. We only have 3 bottles but about 10 nipples and I can shuffle through them easily without having to give the bottles a wash and just do all the washing at night.
