K.,
I had my son in their program last summer and it was wonderful.
I just wanted to offer my services as an alternative. Please feel free to check out my website.
Good Luck with your decision.
I am thinking about putting my 2 1/2 yr old son in Spanish Schoolhouse (bilingual mom's day out program) for the Fall 2008. There is a new one opening up in Carrollton at the Nazarene Church on Hebron. Does anyone have experience w/ their other facilities & have feedback on their program, whether good or bad? My husband & I are not Hispanic, but I do speak Spanish - not fluently! : ) Just wanted to see what other moms thought! Thanks in advance!

I think it sounds like a fantastic idea. What a great asset that will be later in life to be able to speak two languages. I say go for it and keep it up!
I don't have personal experience with my children, but a friend of mine has her daughter there and can't say enough about the program and the staff at the Coppell location.
We had my friend and her family over for dinner one night and also invited our neighbor who is a retired public school Spanish teacher. He remarked at how well my friend's daughter spoke and how her accent was perfect, etc.
We've been at Spanish Schoolhouse in Frisco for 4 years. My oldest son started there when he was 2 and he will be graduating from their kindergarten in a couple of weeks. My youngest son has been there for 3 years. We love it. They have a fabulous program and wonderful teachers. If you have any specific questions, just pm me and I'll be happy to help.
My son goes to the one in Coppell. The current director will be heading up the Carrollton school and she's been great. It was a bit of an adjustment at first for my son; however, he loves it now. What I like is that the teachers are so loving with the children -- real huggy, kissy, etc. My first and foremost concern for my son is that he's in a loving environment. Last year, he went to a very well respected MDO here but really, I prefer Spanish Schoolhouse. If you have any questions or want to chat, feel free to message me.
K. our little girl has been going to the Frisco location for 2 years. Actually Jami the Mom that also answered is the one that helped me make my decision. (I asked Mamasource also) We love it. We're sad...she is graduating Pre-K in a couple of weeks and is attending K at another school so we'll be leaving. I highly recommend it! Good Luck! S.
