Ok moms. I have all Tile Floors I just need ideas of what you use to clean your tile floors. Both the solution and the type of mop or cleaner. I feel like everything I use just pushes all the dirt into the grout unless I am on my hands and knees scubbing each one(Which is what I do alot...but now im preggo...not so easy!) nothing works! Give me some tips please!!! Thanks :)

The grout is white! And not sealed!! :(

What can I do next?

I have tile floors too! Instead of cleaning the grout on my hands and knees I use duct tape to tape the tile brush to an old mop handle.

I spray a cleaner called Mean Green on a section of grout, scrub with the brush while I am standing, let it set a few minutes and mop with clean water. Then I move on to the next section.

We bought a steam mop (Eureka EnviroSteamer) and love it. My husband vacuums and steam mops about every other day and it is quite easy to keep the floors clean. We don't need to use chemicals while cleaning which we appreciate with a small child in our house.

If you have very much tile and want to go the steam mop route, you should consider cord length, reservoir size (how frequent to refill/get back to temperature), temperature for sanization purposes (hotter sanitizes without holding in place), steam dispensing method (pumping action, continous), etc. Good luck.

You won't believe this but the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser cleans tile floors magically and beautifully! There was an area in front of my door way that was discolored. Since we don't wear shoes in our home, I have a large rubber type mat in front of my door. The tile under the mat was light and the tiles around the mat were much darker. I assumed it was discolored due to the sunlight as I had tried everything to get the tiles clean. Nothing lightened them...that is, until one day I tried the magic eraser on one of the tiles and I couldn't believe it, the tiles got clean. I still can't believe it because my husband went to Home Depot before I tried the magic eraser to buy some strong chemical that is for tile cleaning but the instructions make it clear it's toxic and I have 4 children so I was totally reluctant to want to use that in the home. It took me all day to work on the tiles throughout the entire great room (not just the tiles in front of the doorway) and I used a whole box of erasers but by golly, the tiles came out so clean. As for the grout, not sure what to say about that. I had light grout too but because it's also unsealed, it is dark.

As for a mop, I love the mop I use. It's by Libman and I think it's called the tornado mop. The solution I use varies but I seem drawn to the Mr. Clean varieties. They smell nice and sometimes if I feel like it, I will rinse the floor after I wash it but it also helps if you wash the floor in sections, getting fresh clean water as soon as you see the water turning dark that way you are not washing the floor in dirty water.

I use the vacuum first and then my steam mop. I want to be sure that all the small pieces of dust and dirt are up before I mop. There are times when I will have to clean some spot with my hands but not usually.

Also what color is the grout between the tiles, some of the colors tend to look dirty when they are not (like grey or brown grout).

I don't have a tile floor, so I may be way off here, but have you tried a steam mop? I just love mine and there is not a lot of water to slosh dirt around and stuff.
