Tingling Toes

I have had some tingling going on in my feet and now toes off and on but now it's happening more so I am going to the Dr this afternoon to be seen. Last time I went I complained of tightness in my calf and they ran a thyroid test which came up negative. I didn't have the tingling then but now I have both. The tingling is in both feet/toes and once in a while in my fingers. Twice it happened days of allergy injections so I thought it was a type of reaction my body was having from it. Twice this week my toes felt a little swollen and it scared me enough now to make an appt. I wonder if it's diabetes. Does anyone have a clue what these symptoms sound like?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I forgot to add that last time the Dr said the pain in the calf can be from my Symbicort inhaler and to eat more potassium. Well I just went to my appt and I got blood drawn for iron and B12. I'm just waiting for a call back any day.

If you don't get a definitie diagnosis from the doctor, Suzy, try going to a chiropractor. It could be that you have a slightly pinched nerve. Those nerves run all the way down to your feet and from the spine down to your hands too.

These symptoms can be caused by uncontrolled diabetes over a long period of time. If you haven't been diagnosed with diabetes, I wouldn't think this is diabetes.

Here is a web site that gives several possible causes for tingling in hands and feet. http://www.webmd.com/brain/tingling-in-hands-and-feet

One possibility is sciatica (pinched nerve in your lower spine). I had a tingling in one of my legs and looked on youtube for yoga for sciatica. After doing a few yoga stretches, the tingling was gone. It's harmless to try at least.

Sounds very similar to symptoms I experienced in the past. I was subsequently diagnosed with B12 deficiency and Multiple Sclerosis.

Take the symptoms seriously and get them checked out.

I have constant tingling in my extremities with occasional swelling as well. I do not have diabetes. I do however have fibromyalgia and supposedly this is the cause of my tingling issues. I also have low iron and B12, and had a vitamin D deficiency as well. I currently take iron and B12 daily and am no longer needing the vitamin D pills. Talk with your doctor about all of your symptoms but also have him/her check your blood levels for possible deficiencies as well.
