A., you can find some mommy and me groups by joining www.meetup.com I am not in any as I have to work day shift and most want to meet up during the day, but you may find one that would help with that during the summer for you and your little one. Also, join a toddler group at the library, she will get interaction, as will you and be learning at the same time :)

Hi A.,
I take my son who is 34 months to the Hudson library on Thursdays at 10:15 am and also 10:45 am for story time. Wendy is the storyteller and she is great! I live in Hudson off Countyline Road. I am 38 years old and have just my son. We hear of different things all the time. Hope we can see you at the library and maybe plan some other activities too. Good luck!
Take care,
R.

I know the summer is almost over but I'm wondering if you are still looking for some activities to do with your little one. I have a music group class including mommies that is really fun, highly educational and different than any other music group out there. We explore instruments like violin, piano, guitar, Chinese instruments and w dance, sing and work on ear training and fine motor skills. A new session is starting this week. Let me know your thoughts. Hope you've had fun so far.

What a GREAT age to explore.
At 2, I enjoyed working on fine motor skills with my kids
whether it was coloring/cutting/building with blocks.
I loved spending time at the beach, playing in the sand with them, and swimming. We spent ALOT of time reading books, exploring parks and libraries, baking together (learning measuring and mixing) and singing songs.

My son and I hiked alot and investigated what we found along the way. We also liked picnics in the front yard.

Perhaps I'm not specific enough, but honestly, the opportunities are endless with a 2 year old and a motivated mom.
