Toddler Belly Button

I would just watch it and maybe keep corn starch on his tummy for a week or so. If it doesn't go away, it may be a little cyst. I have heard of this before and it wasn't a big problem.

It's natural for first time moms to over worry everything with their precious treasures. We tend to relax a bit with subsequent offspring based on our experiences with previous children. (Which is the primary cause of birth order differences in kids.)

It's highly likely that your daughter has a severe case of zit brought on by a sweaty belly button. Just make sure to keep her skin clean and dry and the zit will go away.

If, after a few weeks (that means wait at least until August 7th - mark it on your calendar), it is still there, or if it becomes inflamed or it is readily apparent that it is growing larger, call your pediatrician and tell him or her the history of the inflammation. At that point, they can best advise you as to whether it warrants a trip in to the office or she may phone in a prescription for it.

As long as it is not bothering her, though, don't let it bother you!

My little girl had one and it was a chigger bite, they are out during this season. You can make a baking powder paste, or there is a topical cream called chigger rid. Hope this helps.

Before you freak out it may be an ant bite. My son had one on his hand(no where near as scary) about a week ago. We just left it alone and after a few days it hardened, I touched it to see if he would react to it and when he didn't I scratched it off. It was super easy, almost like wiping a piece of wet grass or something off of you. It looked just like a zit but we just left it alone. It didn't seem to bother him at all. If it hasn't gone away in a week to 10 days then I would take her into the doctor but dont get all worried right now. I'm sure she's fine :)

pimples come from oil and if she had a heat rash she may have been sweating and some oil got in her belly button. my kiddos would get zits in odd places too so i wouldnt worry however if it lasts a few more days call the doc :)

A pimple is just that, most of the time. They usually come, and they go. I would let her play in a warm bath, which may help bring it to a head. I would not try to pop it. Use some neosporin oint on it and cover it with a bandaid when she is not bathing, and try to keep urine off it. Good luck.

I would recommend calling your pediatrician if you're concerned. I don't know what it could be, but if you googled it and things of concern came up, you can't let it go - you need to check with your pediatrician.
