Look into South Bay Adult School for Mommy and Me (I believe they list it as parenting class) and then you may like it so much you'll stick with it for pre-school! El Segundo parks and rec has an inexpensive dance class.
Hi everyone,
I'd love some suggestions about places in Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, El Segundo or Torrance where you've taken toddlers and LOVED it. I'm especially looking for dance, swimming or mommy and me classes for my 18 month old.
Thank you!

I would highly recommend Wondernation in MB. They have some great classes, including a Music and Movement class, as well as an Intro to Dance class. I took my son to a class there when he was younger and I really liked it...I am planning on taking the Music and Movement class during the Spring Session. Hope that helps!

Hi M. my twin guys are 12 now, but when they were toddlers we went to parks everyday. I really like Entradero in Torrance off of Towers Avenue because the park is set off the street and then the playground is set way off of the parking lot, so they could run for quite some time without me having to worry. Wilson Park in Torrance is great and with lots of room on Crenshaw Blvd. There is a park off of Palos Verdes Drive. If you turn off of Torrance Blvd onto PV Drive (right at the Daily Breeze), and then take your second left, i believe, you will run into it. It was nice and peaceful. Hermosa Valley Park off of Valley is another great one for young ones. Gosh I could go on forever with parks, but there are a few. We LOVED Akai Swim School on Hawthorne just south of PCH - great instructors, warm pools and they learned so much more and progressed so much faster then when we had them in the YMCA program - Hope that is of some help!

Just joined mamapedia but noticed this thread. Looking for the same info, I started my own South Bay family-friendly resource guide. Check it out at www.B..com
You'll find info on preschools, community resources (parks, libraries, farmers markets, etc), activities & enrichment around town, as well as how to get more for less via our SOUTH BAY SAVERS CLUB (children's resale shop, kids eat free).
We're a free site and always looking for suggestions and ideas. Feel free to contact me (Erika) at ____@____.com
Enjoy the ride!
Hey M.,
I don't know if you already enrolled somewhere, but I took my daughter to Wondernation in Manhattan Beach and she LOVED it. We did the intro to dance/movement class and she still sings the songs and the signs. Well priced as well.
